I'm an old school RE player so when I saw there is an autosave feature in lower difficuly settings and I want the challange of ink ribbons so I started on hardcore and oh boy was it really HARDCORE. I wouldn't call this a remake as it is so different from the original except the characters and levels but reimagined - and they reimagined it beautifully. The scarcity of ammo and the fact that Mr.X constantly chasing you gives you a real survival horror feeling even though it is different from the original trilogy in terms of controls. But don't let the over the shoulder camera think you are gonna play a 3rd person shooter game, you really will be on your toes just to survive! Breathtaking graphics and overall a wonderful game!

Truly legendary experience. A "MUST" play for every RE fan.

This is one of the better games in Resident Evil series with some minor annoying features like having no item box. Still it captures to true survivor horror feeling and will satisfy the fans of the genre. Not a bad game at all and if you are a true Resident Evil fan you won't be dissapointed.
