Whilst only having 1.4hrs on record at the time of writing, I feel now is the perfect time to review. I am at the point where any freeroam game has let the player off the standard hand holding and get a few solo missions under the belt.

Skiing:
Feels really clunky compared to the snowboarding. Gave it a go, didnt enjoy dropped it completly. needs to be reworked quite heavily to be feasably enjoyed.

Paragliding:
Just no. This feature feels way to unpredictable to fly, I couldnt 'see' the updrafts so randomly took off and had the fight the controls quite a lot. Its just awful.

Wingsuit:
One of the elements on the game that actually work which suprised me quite a lot, which has a lot of promise if delivered correctly. Hitting some tight corners after a few attempts was thrilling but not taxing for effort (restart process is great). HOWEVER I found myself constantly fighting for altitude and not crashing into the floor.

Snowboarding:
physics work really well for this, and pulling off tricks didnt feel too painful. One of the aspects of the game that have great grounding, feedback and fun.


The timing for the tricks and jumping is so fine that 9/10 you wont get it. this is infurating for a seasoned or novice gamer. this alone has destroyed the game for me, because it stops the suspention of disbelief like a train through a china shop. The OST is pretty good and the game looks quite nice. Its just like SSX with broken SKATE controls. In its current state I would not recommend this game

Its been out for a long time, but now i have returned for the tanks after playing beta I feel now is the time to write a review, especially now that the new update is adding more things.

PROS
-great number of planes/ Tanks (more to be added)
-skill outweighs the wallet 90% of the time
-good for most types of computer
-lots of room for expansion in the future (more and naval)

CONS
-middle game tends to be outgunned with matchmaking
-WoT players will struggle
-AA and Bombers generally get abuse, stomped on and bad players

Lets start with the planes first, which are very expansive and diverse; meaning a plane for all playstyles. when at lower tiers biplanes are great fun, nice intro to the game. moving up to middle tiers is slightly problematic, although still great. you'll tend to be outgunned most of the time and playing a bomber will mean being swiss cheese (especially if british bombers (Wellington)). but once again the gameplay keeps it going with special events and three different game modes.

I yet havent had a chance to play the end tiers with jets, but i here good things.

Now the ground forces. although only three different nations so far british tanks are just round the corner after looking at the latest update. ground forces seem to suffer more with outgun syndrome matchmaking than the planes, but most of the game is how you play it.

the main drawback to the game so far as ground forces is the AA players who refuse to move around the map, cant hit anything and are generally a hinderance to the team. However shooting planes down is great joy once you perfect it.

Players of WoT will take a long time to adjust as the game style and damage models are completely different, yet worth the change in tactics.

overall, a great game with balanced wallet premiums, but needs a little love for middle tiers and ground forces tweaks.
