All of the simulation goodness of its predecessor, but with a much slicker, cleaner, and better performing interface. A big step up from CK2, and a much easier introduction for those who are new to the series.

Stellaris presents a capable and flexible simulation of galactic conquest. It provides numerous different ways to expand your influence, allowing for a diverse spectrum of play-styles. It also allows for some excellent mod support, for those interested in expanding or customizing the base content. I'm enjoying my time with it immensely.

I have enjoyed this grand strategy game quite a bit. It could use a bit of work on making the interface a little more user-friendly. But the detail and nuance of the game are just delightful. A title for the more patient among us, but extremely rewarding for those willing to explore its mechanics. Also, this game is a must-have for any student of history.
