surprisingly in-depth ttrpg-like that has you living through different 'scenarios' by proxy of custom characters you can create, and use dice rolls to investigate mysteries. the sprites are very cute, translation seems to be a work in progress so not everything is fully complete but the initial two modules were entertaining! i thought it was pretty cool that they have a built-in system that lets you create your own scenarios as well for others to play.

if you don't mind the work in progress on the translation, and you enjoy ttrpgs/dnd type games, it's worth a shot!

okay hear me out. this game is actually so chill... aside from the obvious mobile game-like daily login systems for events & such, it has a lot of the comfort of playing an animal crossing game but from your pc. the gudetama spotting minigame is fun, and if you play your cards right you can gain a level or two of friendship with each character per day, leading to having a pretty nice pace for doing quests. the underwater section is cool, however i wish the gave more guidance on progression (timegated by rubber for 2 days because i wasted them on water balloons was kind of a bummer)

if you like relaxing games that you can play 1-2 hours a day at a casual pace, i think it's a good time!

felt super lost at first. but once you have your first extraction, get ur first upgrades, kill ur first boss, you really start getting a feel for what the game's all about. it's got soulslike adversity in a risk of rain-like setting. the difficulty curve at the beginning took some getting used to, but at the same time it felt really rewarding preparing for your boss battles and getting a build together. dying and losing ur gear feels extremely punishing, so i can get how it'd be frustrating-- if you're looking for a casual, relaxing time, this might not be for you. that aside, as a hyper light drifter fan, very fun seeing nods to the other game with the soccer field etc!

i never write reviews but this series is so underrated i just had to. i definitely think it appeals to a select audience (people with dark orbs in their brain) and when you're that audience it hits. hard.

binged the series pretty much in one sitting like a normal person but it was so worth it :)
