A truly beautiful, inspiring, funny yet heart-breaking adventure that is well worth experiencing at least once for everyone, whether by playing or watching a playthrough it doesn't matter too much, but you must experience the whole story from start to finish!

I was originally not sure if I was going to enjoy this, as Persona isn't really my thing...however, I am REALLY enjoying it. Playing through it on Hard Mode has been an immense challenge so far, the extra pip/turn the enemies get make it a lot of fun to figure out how I'm going to take each fight on.

The way weaknesses are made into such important things to counter in order to get extra attacks is so different to what I'm used to, it feels so different from the normal JRPG but still so good! In addition to that, overworld grinding against lower level enemies is such a great design choice to stop it becoming tedious.

The music is 10/10, the voice acting (I've been playing in English) is 10/10, the story so far is intriguing, the characters also so far have been really cool and different, but we'll see how that continues on towards endgame.

In short, I recommend giving this a try if you even remotely like RPGs! It's a must buy if you love turn-based combat!

The original, the best.
It's truly a huge part of gaming history, you owe it to yourself to experience it in this form!

Story 10/10 - the pacing is perfect and the twists are still brilliant and never predictable.
Characters 10/10 - all work so well and fit a niche so that everyone will have a favourite.
Music 10/10 - Nobuo Uematsu is a god.
Combat 9/10 - those Cait Sith limits let it down ever so slightly, but the materia system is fantastic.
World 10/10 - even in low res, it's so very memorable, I have never forgotten the layout of any of the towns.
Minigames 8/10 - hit and miss, some incredibly fun, some boring.
Endgame 9/10 - difficult and fun, not ruined by boring filler activities.

It's all aged, of course, it came out in 1997, but in my opinion, it's like a fine wine that I can revisit every few years and it's still as good as ever.

What to say...it's a truly fantastic and legendary game...with a really awful lazy port!

Everything good about this was created by Hideo Kojima and the original developers, such a classic and plays just as you remember it, nostalgia hits all over the place, memories flooding back and way ahead of its time.

Everything bad is, well, obviously down to Konami, they could have actually put some effort into these releases, maybe remastered them in some way or at least add some quality of life things...like audio sliders. But they didn't, the bare minimum has been achieved, and they're lucky that the bare minimum is still the fantastic game!

A very competent turn-based RPG! Really fun tactical combat system. Interesting characters in a world full of lore that will only get bigger and better over time (with an MMO in the works). Intriguing story so far, hopefully that continues!

This game shows turn-based can be done correctly and isn't at all outdated, it just requires some innovation and reasoning behind taking your time to think what your best move is at a given moment! Wonderful use of a "lane system" to trade speed for power to get your attack in ahead of (or after) an opponent, very much recommend you give it a try!

Music well worth a mention too, Riot have been doing fantastic work in this field for years and once again it shows. Audio does what it needs to and voice acting is great too, though you do start to hear some repetitive voices in NPCs.

I personally got it on sale, it's not exactly expensive at normal price, so well worth giving it a try either way. Enjoy!

A wonderful atmospheric little game that will have you intrigued and curious throughout!

Some very interesting puzzles, fun little back and forth style between you and another player, nothing too stressful but not super easy either. Will test most people to think outside the box in places and put information together.

Very much recommended to play with someone you're in voice chat or with in person. Conversation is key, and it's always nice to share an experience!

Gameplay-wise oh so much fun, best played in a group of friends but great also solo and trying to find all the shortcuts and skips to get a better time on each level! A pleasure for a speedrunner to theorise and try out new things!

Not a huge fan of the microtransaction system for cosmetic changes to your car/s though, at least they are cosmetic and there is a free part of the battle pass. However, as always, the free items are never as interesting as the paid ones, which aren't available for free, even after having to buy the game in the first place.

Fantastic game - 10/10!

The classic cartoon graphics and animation are brilliant, you can tell they spent a long time to get them just right, they're unique, interesting, funny and create a wonderful atmosphere.

The music is also of the same era as the graphics and will get you dancing along and even humming or singing it for a few of the songs, especially King Dice's theme!

The game can be difficult, but very much rewards you for "getting good" due to it's scoring system after each level.

Honestly, just get it, it's so good!

Now the exclusivity is over and it's fully released, I can finally recommend this game!

It's fantastic at what it does, the beautifully done random run, die, upgrade, and run back again combat loop is as fun as ever. What this game does well, is add interesting story and characters on top of that system, you actually look forward to hearing the dialogue and banter between characters! (My favourite is Megaera)
