That is so cool! I have a carpenter bee nest outside my front door this year! But I missed seeing them drilled hole! I have been observing them ever since they made a nest and it's pretty interesting to watch the male carpenter bee protect its nest! All day long I see this male carpenter bee chasing other carpenter bees as well as other insects! All day long! It hasn't been too bad with him dive-bombing my head when I go outside to tend to my flowers... when I noticed the bee becoming a little antsy I just go inside!
