Wanted to give this game a fair shot. I thought the reaction the Game Awards trailer was overblown, and the game actually looked kinda fun. So I gave it a download.

Turns out the game does not launch. On both my desktop and my steam deck, I can't even get into a menu. I come to learn the developers decided to lock their already fledgling hero shooter behind a Kernel-Level anti-cheat. I will never understand this decision, as it's a huge security risk, and keeps out anyone that doesn't pay Microsoft with their money and personal data.

Clearly this company cannot manage their marketing, game optimization, or security, so why would I trust them to manage a live service game that has started off in such a rough state. Remove the rootkit from the game and I might try it out.

Great game, however, instead of making their case to the ratings board the devs decided to remove some of the most impactful moments of the story. This is for the console release, and they are changing the pc release to avoid multiple maintaining multiple instances of the game. Not the first time the devs have removed content after people paid.

Truly gives you the feeling of feeling like a wizard

I loved T7 but this may be the worst management of a video game I have ever seen, it's a shame this is the only modern 3D fighter at the moment.

The balance is non-existent, with patch notes that feel random, unasked for, and not-enough. They implemented HEAT, which is a brand new feature that allows you to ignore your opponent for a while. Many characters' game-plan is to lock you in place, and make you guess what to block. Enjoyable.

The graphics on the rocks and stones are incredible.

A great short horror game, definitely worth it for how cheap it is. There's more to notice that you'll realize on a second playthrough.
