Loved this for as long as I could. I was excited to get into Oblivion again, and this has the capacity to be a great remaster... but. The optimization is horrific. Despite meeting recommended specs, this game consistently sends my computer into panic shutdown on the main menu. Yes: the main menu. At first it was an occasional issue, now it happens every boot up. I can't even try to run the game because I can't run the main menu. On one hand: lmao! On the other, I'm left feeling like my 80 hours of playtime were wasted by developer carelessness. It's very frustrating to see this game abandoned by Bethesda despite being inaccessible to so many (most???) of its PC players.
