Fresh breath of air, very pleasantly surprised, cant wait for the "finished" product. Ive been wanting a proper pirate rpg for the last 20+ years of my life.

how did i sleep on this for so long? friends have wanted to play this multiple times but the perspective and perceived "jank" put me off until now.

17 hours in two sessions is enough i think to describe how addicting this game is.

It was very scary. Bit janky but thats to be expected. Too scary for me. My heart is still pounding.

a blast, first time my friend and i played we played 9 hours straight. suddenly it was 3am lol.

Cannot play COOP with my friend. Spent hours trying to connect, using the official and many many unofficial tips. Ubisoft has been saying theyre looking at it for years, but the error persists. What a ♥♥♥♥ company.

too many bugs to be enjoyable. really frustrating. i really want to like this game as you can see by hours. but i ragequit every time.
controls are unresponsive, infuriating and unnecessary complicated.

not much content being added but the foundation is good and fun

After about 80 hours I think I have enough experience to form an opinion on this game. And ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is it good.
Full disclosure: I played 16 hours years ago shortly after launch, and just recently got back into the game with a friend.
Now that I am hooked on it, I play solo aswell but the most fun youll have with friends, because communicating and team composition is important in higher difficulties.
I have not touched Legend and Cataclysm, the two highest difficulties, so there is alot more replayability. Don't be fooled by the "few" steam achievements, the game has a challenge system to let you earn stuff, ranging from new weapons to cosmetics and special missions.
Theres also a plethora of modes, the fun never ends. Even after doing a mission 10 times I have fun doing it again, collecting collectibles and trying to survive. The enemy spawns are randomized, so the sense of novelty lingers alot longer.
Community is mostly very nice if you stick to your appropriate difficulties.

I think there is another atleast 100 or more hours left in this game without having "finished" it.

This once great game has been ruined in the past years. It is mindblowing how many at times years old bugs this game has. Has gone really downhill since Paradox took over. Tons of new DLC with new bugs and not even attempting to fix old bugs.
At this point it is almost impossible to play the game to the fullest as I keep running into gamebreaking glitches and bugs. Save your money, seriously. It's fine without DLC though.
