I don't care about the PSN requirement that much, but seeing their community reps mock people who are upset at the change seriously leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Making a new account is easy sure, but people don't want to normalize being required to hand information over to another company to continue engaging with the product they already bought. To completely ignore and even belittle these complaints is an impressive level of tone deaf.

Figured it couldn't hurt to add on to the reviews. Doing my part, as they say!

An excellent game brought down by poor marketing, controversial balance changes and a lack of content.

I'd say I hope it has a long future, but I doubt it's getting the attention it needs from the publisher.

Enjoy it while it's still up!

I get why the decision to implement EAC was made, but it blatantly disregards the entire modding community who love the game and want to add features that otherwise wouldn't be included in official updates. I don't use modded clients myself, but I support the agency of the playerbase to fill the gaps of the official client.

Cancelling my VRC+ and leaving this review until things change.

Absolutely abandoned by Valve. Rampant cheaters, bloated and unstable item economy that's taken priority over the actual gameplay.

TF2 has a lot to offer, but it's next to impossible to enjoy it right now.

Game is in an even worse state than before. Valve refuses to even acknowledge the community because they're scared of actually being obligated to maintain their legacy titles.

Don't let them get away with this. They can feel free to ignore the protests and solely invest in more profitable titles, but the consequences should be loud and clear. Valve software is no longer worth supporting.

The base game is definitely fun but it has some crippling flaws.

Hackers are frequent, team games are absolutely miserable, the cosmetic shop feels awful because everything worth unlocking is on a timer, and the lag results in levels like the tail game being an inconsistent and infuriating mess.

This could be fantastic with some updates, assuming they actually listen to criticism and the game isn't dead at that point.

*UPDATE 3/17/22*

Never improved their game in a meaningful way, and were bought out by Epic Games, now requiring an EGS account. Disregard this game, it'll never be good again.

Saw the Isekai Quartet event and figured I'd give the game a shot. After being blasted with all kinds of lore and class info that I had 0 way to contextualize, I decided to spam through the usual drawn out MMO intro to get into the game.

Upon doing this, the game closed itself and accused me of hacking, stating no external programs can be running at the same time as the game.

According to someone familiar with the game, either one of my totally harmless programs (Discord, Wallpaper Engine, etc) freaked out the anti-cheat for no reason, or I clicked too fast and it assumed I was using a hotkey program.

Either way, this situation is ridiculous. Uninstalled and never looking back. If you're casually interested in the game, don't bother.

The game has received some updates that smoothed out the experience a bit, I was blown away with the space travel.

But unfortunately, still terrible performance and design issues when on a planet.

I think this will genuinely be great, if they continue ironing out the kinks. Still can't recommend it for now.

Bought this ages ago but installed it now for the new update that includes a VR mode.

It's unfortunately a pretty blatant shoddy port of the PSVR version, riddled with performance issues, UI bugs and many other problems.

Made me sick to play only for a short while.

If you're wanting to play in VR, wait.
