The game feels lack luster, and wasn't even properly packaged for Linux, had to use Proton on steam to get the game downloaded.

Does not fit my taste sadly, never played the game prior to steam release. Compared to some other related games and the way this game feels just makes me think i paid 30$ dollars for a pixel sprite addon. Aside from that the games world generation is nice, really good that the world isn't just set at one height level and it lets you build your base vertically up and down. The music is nice too. Disliked the way your characters could/couldn't interact with the world.

EDIT: After breaking my self in, i like it more.

I'll change the review as soon as the performance issues get resolved. But for now, the game stutters somewhat as I go from one area to another and with every graphics setting maxed out, except v-sync is off and the game is fullscreen, the fps stays around 40-60 fps at 2560x1440 resolution. Ran on r9 5900X and RTX 3080 with an nvme ssd. The game looks amazing and has similar controls of "dead space". Very detailed environments. Combat is pretty easy to get used to and plays well. Sadly even on my system the game managed to crash at some point. Kinda annoying to push out a 60$ game with such terrible performance and stability.

Edit: Dead Space remake came out and this is complete dogwater compared to it.

The game is really good, there are still some quirks about it, one i can mention that bothered me the most is the shotgun Benelli M4, when you run out of ammo, the shotgun should lock the bolt back indicating that it has no ammo, on top of that reloading it and not knowing I didn't ♥♥♥♥ the bolt in the heat of a battle is quite irritating, seems more of an overlook on this one since some guns like the M4 carbine does have this functionality.
