Fun and pretty when its working but crashes far too often to recommend. Apparently some bug with the Ubisoft launcher, with no fix or work around.

Found a comment on Steam forum thread by aigarsuze that seems to have resolved my crashes

"Adding the following lines to ACValhalla.ini (located in Documents\Assassin's Creed Valhalla) resolved random crashes to desktop with no error on an RTX 5070 and NVIDIA newest drivers 576.88 game ready driver! On windows 11 24H2!

Would now recommend as it's stable enough to play.

I really wanted to love this game, but beyond the incredible visuals and great sound designed, this game is a massive let down for me.

I was playing with a controller. In my mind, one stick should control your movement and the other stick should control where you want to look/aim. Not the case in here. One stick does control movement, but it also resets you look/aim direction as soon as you let go of the other stick, making it very frustrating to aim at anything consistently.

Another problem this game has is with off screen enemies. Multiple times I was killed by an enemy off screen that I couldn't do anything about. I also think there is an issue with the hit detection or area of effect warnings because I was getting hit when my character was clearly outside of the area.

I hope these get addressed in a future patch. I also hope that someone makes a VR mod for this game because exploring it would be incredible.

Fun little card game. Love the art style.

Game that just keeps bring you back for more. Multiplayer is fun and still active. Plenty of mods that add too the base game or create a new experience. Highly recommend.

Just like the original only better looking. Highly recommend!
