I've been playing some wipes since February 2018, don't be fooled by my play count here (I have more than 2000 hours registered on my BSG account).

Let's start with the positives:
- No other game has this level of deepness on weapon/gear customization;
- Due the complexity of tasks/quests and maps, each raid is unique and unpredictable;
- This game has the most equivalence between tension/satisfaction/frustration that I've ever experienced on online games;
- The artistic team that handles the animations and the details deserves all the praise.

Now the technical negatives:
- Even with my gear (Ryzen 9800x3D, 64GB of RAM DDR5 and a RX 9070 XT, Streets of Tarkov performance is abysmal, with low FPS and random stuttering when pulling the scope);
- A very long time wasted on the menu waiting for the raids to start/long waiting to be able to go back to menu after the raid ends;
- Frequent errors moving items on stash/gearing up the character (SSL error, Item cannot be moved and etc.);
- Frequent crashes getting out of raids and on any loading stages (entering hideout for an example);
- Frequent freezing on loading state after leaving raids;
- Very long reconnection time when you are dropped from a raid for any reason;
- Frequent stuck on loading using transition from one map to another, which forces to close the game and go trough the reconnect long wait;
- Bad spatial sound (no verticality);

Now the negatives not related to technical issues:
- Lots of quests to kill enemies on specific locations that forces you to do the same raid multiple times to get to the count (specifically painful on the Reserve one to kill scavs inside the black/white pawn buildings);
- Seasonal events getting worse each time (this year's force you to stop using helmets and put a beanie instead which prevents us from using night vision and locks me from hunting cultists since without night vision this is practically impossible, and also this made scav raids impossible if you don't have luck enough of your scav spawn with a beanie/ushanka);
- There are a lot of negativity on the community which sounds even harder than it should be on the devs, but on the other hands they have difficulty on handling valid criticism on the game since most of these problems happens since early wipes and they're still here;
- Requirement of "Find in Raid" for hideout items (even on PVE) seems like artificial game retention and is frustrating;
- The move from specific loot routes to random loot everywhere also has the same feeling of artificial gaming retention;
- Short raid times makes difficult to people that are getting familiarized with the maps and forces us to spend lots of time doing offline raids to even start thinking about doing optimized ones handling more than one quest per match.

Tarkov is the reason why we have lots of extraction shooters right now and stills unique on his atmosphere and vibe, but I think that due the long period of development that it already has and some old problems that still persist, I can't recommend it to new players. I strongly suggest that, if you have a life outside gaming, you go for something else like Arc Raiders.
