Great game and it is just enough similar to the predecessor, that it feel somewhat familiar. But not so much it feels like the same game again.

I have been playing pretty much every MMORPG, that were released between 2004 and 2016 and though this game at first seems like another indie game and/or somethings riding the anime popularity wave. Then it is more than that. It is made by Bandai Namco Entertainment who perhaps is better known for the Tekken games.

Blue Protocol: Star Resonance mixes the world of anime with the endless dialogs; which happily can be skipped or most of it can; the anime animations with some of the fundamentals of the genre in general, and after you get used to the anime style (which for and somewhat old bloke like me, can be kindda hard), there is a simple system of progression with gear after you reach level 60 (that currently is the maximum level). Though that same system can seem borring to some, it removed the borring running, runnig and even more running which is quite known from MMORPGs :)

Well it is a Tekken game, so it takes alot to disappointed with the game :)

A tiny bit confusing at first, but it all makes sense in the 2nd run and I have not played any Elden Ring prior to this. So I am very happy.

Played it on another account aswell, where I completed the main quest line. So eventhough this is technically my 2nd play through of the game. Then I can still say that this game is great fun, challenging and consumes time like any other survival game :)

To me it is a great game, with a lot of potential :)

So far this early access version do not disappoint me at all. Though I do keep an open mind, to the fact that it is an early access version, no by no means the final product when the game releases. But I do see a huge potential for it to becoming a succes. Mainly because the realms generated from cards, gives this survival game something to challange you with, after the game have been "completed". Which no other (to my knowledge) survival game can provide (content beyond the completion of the main mission/questline).

First off I am not sure my gaming time on the Gamepass is included on steam, so it is more like 60 hours of playing this game :)

At first glance it is very much similar to many other survival games, some of the building mechanics is a bit annoying (the snapping effect of e.g. walls - also it is annoying that you can not put up a wall under a roof). The way you build your character, is also something people of this game genre have seen before, though I kindda forgot in the beginning that I had the damage from the Pals aswell, so I wasted a few points in attack.

When you dive into the game, you are met with a kindda easy start (the first 20 levels or ther eabout), then from about level 25-30 you start to really have to pay attention about what Pals you are fightings weaknesses, etc. From what I have noticed, there is plenty to do after reaching level 50 (max atm.) and I tend to forget that it is an early version of the game, and not near the finished product.

So to me I can only recommend this game, and I am looking forward to the finished product. Though I hope they can live up to the expectations, there are now where (to me) the fundamentals of a great survival game are there.

Might not be the most beautiful game graphics wise. But the gameplay is really great fun :)
