RimWorld? No, Rain World.

Never played Escape from Tarkov. Only played ARC Raiders

Absolutely wonderful soundtrack.

Personally, this is my favorite DLC. I really enjoyed exploring the world, especially with the nomadic lifestyle. Upgrading the gravship by exploring different biomes and landmarks makes everything feel so satisfying. Swimming, fishing, and other features also help flesh out the experience.

A nomadic playstyle in RimWorld used to mean having to micromanage animals and pawns constantly, moving toward the next map tile. If someone had a mental break, the entire caravan had to stop and wait for them to recover. In this DLC, it feels so much better being able to bring your base with you as you travel to the next location. It also pushes you to keep exploring the map, because if you don’t, mechanoids will eventually show up and force you to move on.

At first, I thought it was a bit of a pushover. But as you keep upgrading the ship and manage to fit everything you need, especially the new shuttle, it becomes a lot more engaging. When you land the ship, there is a cooldown period before you can launch again. During that time, you absolutely need to be careful about your defenses. Once the ship is ready and you have enough fuel, you can escape any threat, which can sometimes make those threats feel a bit pointless.

The new space mechanics with vacuum are pretty simple. You need to wear the right gear to avoid vacuum exposure. Inside the ship, you need oxygen pumps and vacuum barriers to prevent depressurization. It is not hard to understand, but you will need to learn how to swap your pawns gear. The outfit stand is perfect for this. Just assign the space gear to the stand and people can switch into it easily.

Other than that, I like the new unique weapons too. I got a minigun with 200 percent fire rate and 150 percent burst shot multiplier. With a shooting specialist and a hussar, this pawn was absolutely shredding everything. There are also unique weapons like EMP rounds that stun mechanoids, or incendiary rounds that work great against flesh.

Even after just one playthrough, like with Biotech, I can already think of many more playthroughs in the future.
