Do you still have codes? You used to give them away in competitions a lot. Are you planning to do something like a big code event when/if Payday 3 comes? Or maybe have you already sold/given away them all?

@YouRock: 1. I don't know, all I've been told is that some people from Reddit were working on it. You should look up more info there. 2. I would consider monetary offers but for sale rather than just a license. Either way, it would be more than a casual player would be willing to pay.

2. If you don`t wanna make yours pd2tools like open source, then how much be license ? Of couse author on the footer never removed. I just wanna make same code in own language (make translation)

@YouRock: My announcement made it clear I would not make the site open source. There are people working on new tools for that for a while, you should offer them your help if that is what you want to see happen.

Good day! Very sad to heard that pd2tools no more exist. But please , i have alot of friends and community who wanna see something like pd2tools. Can you send me source pages of pd2tools ? RIP PD2Tools. Thanks for everything, I hope you implement a way to edit downloaded builds in the mod, but it's ok if you don't. I imagine investing even more resources in a dying game isn't what you have in mind, but I'd really appreciate it. Regardless of that, seriously, thank you so much for your page, simulators, contests, giveaways, and everything you've done for the community. I deeply appreciate it.

@FireDrake: If you saved them on the site you can still download them in JSON format. When it comes to ads I can't do much about it as they are run by google. If there are any viruses then it us Google's fault.

Also your webpage is still up, but my antivirus sends me alerts about a french online clothes retailer everytime I open a build.

Sorry, is there a way to transform loadouts already in the game to become part of the mod's loadouts to try? Last update made to the mod deleted all my loadouts, that I had named carefully

@Idris: The simulator is also in JS, you can just look up the code. All the data I use is in the game's tweak data files. You have to use the bundle modder to extract the files and look them up or create a LUA mod to fetch the data you need. The whole site is several thousand files long and about 5 GB in size, and the database is many tables wide.

Couple questions, and going to be upfront; I'm recreating the Loadout simulator but in JS so people can still use it as a 'build guide'. Are you willing to give me the base values of the items? or can you point me in the direction where I could find such data?

Love your site, shame you can't rip out the bloat and keep the simulator on a private GitHub Repo with public facing pages or something.

Damn, I wish I have a way to keep your pd2tools. It is a useful references.

@FireDrake: It's possible to edit them but you need to know the internal names for all the skills, weapons, etc.

@Hurricane Jose: I spent way too much time and money to just give it away for free. I'm not opposed to having a desktop application, but I'd rather have someone work with me (if there is someone interested in doing such thing).

BSOD, are you thinking of making a Github or Sourceforge repository for the work you did on PD2Tools? I think it could be turned into a desktop application so that you don't have to spend money on hosting the website.

Thanks for the advice with downloading the builds, is there a way to edit the builds after downloaded?

I really hope OVK learns from their mistakes and they don't end up Raiding or OTWDing PD3.

@FireDrake: You can download the builds as JSON to use with the LUA mod. It will go down mid January, somewhere 15-20th I think. Np, I hope PD3 is a big success and I'll be around if that is the case ;)

BSOD, will there any way of downloading the builds in text files, for safekeeping? Or do we have to do it manually before PD2Tools closes?

Also, speaking of it, will PD2Tools close at the end of January, or some date in January?
