The current status of this game is an absolute joke. I paid $50 for this game a while back ago and played for some time in the first year I had it. Then took long breaks waiting for better updates and changes to the game to fix bugs and issues that negatively impacted my gaming experience. We are now in July 2017 nearly 4 years after Alpha launch, and the game still isn't even in beta??

I thought the whole reason for the devs to stop using the DayZ mod on Arma and have their own DayZ standalone was for the purpose of having access and flexibility and not be slowed down by Arma/Bohemia in DayZ's development. Now it looks like the devs just wanted to make a dump truck of money (tens of millions of dollars) at the game's launch and leave us all with a game in terrible condition.

By the time DayZ devs launch Beta, new games will have launched and people will forget about DayZ because of their past negative experiences in the game.

I do not recommend this game to anyone. It's full of bugs, and the mechanics of everything is an absolute joke. Save your money.
