I've come to regard Ninja Theory productions as one of those rare treats that sometimes pop up and you can do nothing but obsess over it for a while. Every single time, the stories that they manage to tell suck me into a captivated bliss and I don't want to look away until it's over. But of course, I'm always sad to see them end and wish I could experience for the first time again.

ENSLAVED: Odyssey to the West is no exception.

The gameplay (action based combat and platforming) is a lot of fun with interesting mechanics, but what really drew me in was the story. The voice acting is superb, the characters feel so real to the point that you can almost taste their emotions, and the post-apacolyptic setting in which Earth has been left to the (visually beautiful) mercy of nature is a pleasure to walk through. For fear of revealing any spoilers, I won't divulge any details of the story itself, except to say that it's immensely satisfying. The ending is one of my favorites of any game I've ever played. It left me in awe... One of those endings that made me wonder what I would have done if I were in the protagonist's place.

The PC port may come with it's share of technical issues, but those are easily fixed and adjusted through a quick google search. I wouldn't let that stop you from playing this awesome game. It's one that will stick with you long after you're done playing.
