If you need something absolutely brainless to activate your reward system, I thoroughly recommend Nubby's Number Factory for its beautifully disgusting graphics, engaging gameplay and low asking price. Watch out for the sun exploding.

This is a co-op FPS in the vein of Left 4 Dead. I bought it for £23 a few weeks ago and got thoroughly hooked.

The core gameplay, art direction, soundtrack and character designs are superb. There are microtransactions for a handful of cosmetic items; I haven't spent a penny on them. The game runs mostly above 60 FPS at 1440p on my 3070 Ti, and I can't remember if the game has ever crashed on me. I get the odd lobby disconnect now and then.

Others have complained of "The Grind" of levelling up weapons, but I'm enjoying practically every single mission so I simply haven't experienced this. For me it's a nice diversion to see how powerful you can make your weapons and abilities; I think I hit level 30 on my psyker about 30 hours in?

I recommend this game if you like co-op shooters. Just don't buy it for the story.

I purchased this on a complete whim while browsing through the store for something cheap and cheerful, and I love it. It's obvious how much tweaking went into getting the gameplay just right. The 16-bit style graphics and soundtrack are also superb. If you like arcade games, just buy it.
