After five minutes in game of gathering materials and findind a potential spot to build, my character's heart started pounding. No apparent indicator anywhere as to why or what I could do about it. Died soon after.

Maybe it could be a fun game, but it is incomplete and the developer gave up on the project. Oh well. Cannot recommend.

Playing this makes me feel free, like flying in a dream. Better yet, you have powers to gain and baddies to fight like it's a video game. ^.^ +++

Also, it's beautiful: music, visual, history. I highly recommend it if you like a more relaxing game and if you want to jump around like a human kangaroo and make trees grow! WOoohooo!

I idealized this game before I bought it, admittedly. Thought the art and animation looked so great that the promise of the story was there within it, but it was difficult to tell if the story was worth anything because there was really very limited ways of going about playing the game. You couldn't choose to be the tell tale or not, the point of the game seemed to be to be the tell tale and that made it kind of limited in it's potential. Maybe there were other paths to pursue but the game wasn't rewarding of those choices.

The reply I received from the developers wasn't all that impressive when I told them my thoughts. I basically got the reply, to paraphrase, "Well, you aren't doling it right." Well, if there is only one right way to do what is "right" and which, in this case, is wrong, then I don't know if I really want to engage here (vs the other games in library). Here I am writing this review a year after I got the game and I just reinstalled it for another try, but if I have to sit through cyclical story telling of the same story because I can't play the game in any other way other than one way, I might get really bored again. I spent less than 5 hours in it the first time around before abandonment.

I do, none the less, love the art and animation. The characters are unique and I really looked forward to perhaps a deeper development of the relationships between the characters. I liked the way interactions with the environment and characters worked. The smooth sailing with my PC. This is very unique game and I would like to see something come from this that will rock my world!!! But this one, wasn't quite it. That being said, I am giving it another try and will update this review accordingly.

I guess that's a fairly concise experience of this game, take it as you will. If you are inclined to try it, I recommend waiting for a sale.

A fairly intuitive point and click adventure with excellent voice acting and a great story. Love the atmosphere. Two thumbs up! I want more.

I am a big fan of Might and Delight Studios. After getting Shelter Complete Collection when it first came out, I fell in love with the art style and the idea of playing as an animal in a beautiful environment. The music and lighting really add to the atmosphere as well.

The same can be found in Meadow, except this time in multiplayer. It is simplistic, but in the best way possible. There is no way to type to each other, just squeeks, emotes, and a few actions like jumping and lying down for communication. You can use the features of the game to find others on the map. Majority of gameplay consists of finding others and running as a herd together, jumping for joy when you find someone new, and finding the collectables which unlock aditional emotes, skins, and actions.

Wonderful game and well worth the few dollars. There is no heavy action and you can't die. Just a relaxing exploration, collection game with others and absolutely no possibility of trolls because of the lack of chat system.

I love it and would definatly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and artful atmospheric multiplayer. :)

As much as I looked forward and enjoyed this game for so many hours...I cannot recommend it. Here is why...

The downfall of this game is reflective of the last achievement I got in it: Family Matters.

I was there from the start, anxiously awaiting the release, finally ready to see a group of developers try to tackle a D&D based PC game with (what I hoped would be) grace. Reminiscent of the system in Neverwinter Nights where you could run campaigns as DM and present an event, build your own world and allow others to experience the story.

When I first dived into the game as a new player, I really enjoyed the graphics and the magic animations, the ability to party with friends and the single player story. I would say the main story was the most complete portion of the game, as the DM mode was quite lacking in any kind of custom building and lacked inventory entirely. The other part of the game that was not only incomplete, but was actually quite broken, was the buffs on items. It allowed the player to exploit it's capabilities without any hacking, to render the player invincible versus the environment because the mobs scaled to level, but not to the items the player had on, which could increase the power of the player exponentially. This problem could have had a solution. For example, if the NPCs were to spawn with armor of similar level to the player's, it would balance out the damage, but nothing was ever done.

Because of these parts of the game which could have used some tweaking, I think this game could have fared far better in early access and overall listened more to the community which played it and the the fans that dedicated their time and passion into cheering on the developers.

This is where family ended up being the downfall of the game. Perhaps it was the communication or lack there of, I don't know. When there was a much awaited community patch, the team decided to focus energy on making the game for other platforms and creating a DLC before completing and releasing an already delayed patch. I think if the problems that were emphasized by the majority of the community were attended to, perhaps this game would still be afloat.

The DLC wasn't optional and updated my game automatically, which introduced a new bug rendering the game unplayable for me.

Maybe some day someone will pick up this game and fix it up here and there and we can start building a community of players again, but for now, I just move on and hope someone will try again. I would love to roleplay on a player made server in a D&D based system or better yet, participating in creating it!

You play a badger mother caring for her babies. The story is as poetic as the music. The sounds emerse you in the wilds which are beautifully rendered as a patterned motif of pastels. Meander through the wonders and dangers of nature while caring for your young, finding them food and sheltering them from the varous perils that you face along the journey.
Challenging, fun and relaxing. It is a story told without words and it's bittersweet.

I love this game. Looking forward to playing Shelter 2 and other Might and Delight creations!

Things I liked:
-The story, although not the best in the world, kept my interest. I really enjoyed some of the Falmer history being braught to light. Involving the Elder Scrolls was also awesome.
-The pretty glowing things in caves. Lots of screenshots taken!
-Many hours of added content and unique items.

Things I loathed:
-The gigantic poorly designed and sloppily put together maps for the three main areas that are involved in the quest line. One of the things I love about Skyrim as a game was taken away from me here. It was difficult and frustrating to the point of quiting the game to try to get through later.
-The constant bugs that made me relaod the game time and time again, whishing I had never started the Dawnguard questline.

The cons really just can't make me recommend this one. I LOVE Skyrim, but this....sigh.

I LOVE the old school cars, however....

I cannot recommend this game for one reason.... it's not worth $20 when you are competing on a market with games that are still early access that are $15-20 dollars and quite obviously people put in a lot more work into those games than this one.

If it were about $10 or less, this game is quite worthwhile! I really enjoyed the era influenced art and music, although wish there were a few more tracks available. After about an hour I don't really want to hear that song for the third time again....

The system is pretty basic compared to other games like this. You race, you get achievments, you get money to upgrade the mechanics or customize the look of your car. You get special points for completing things with "style" while driving. Through achievments you unlock higher levels and you can repeat previous levels to gain more money, and so on. I found it challening and fun! I didn't encounter any major bugs or errors, so overall it is pretty good. I don't find myself playing it very often, but I do pick it up once in a while.

If I notice the price tag change to a more approprite number, I will change my review to recommended. :)

P.S. The AI cars passing through other cars on the road while you crash into them also is kinda annoying.

Usually, I don't even touch point and click adventures, but I wanted to give this game a try becuase of the setting and the story being about Nostradamus.

Puzzles, mystery, beautiful art, I got hooked! I really liked the twist at the start that involves cross-dressing. Some choices in the game lead to a different way the story plays out even though the main storyline is linear. I really enjoyed the cooking and potion making as well as the challenging puzzles! The music was pensive at times, but enjoyable and fit with the flow of the story. If you like collecting clues to add to your journal and inventory while investigating a mystery, then chances are you will enjoy this game!

Criticisms...

Although I don't regret even one minute I spent with this game, I wish there was a bit more lore at the end about the story behind what happened and a resolution for those who were involved.

Also, the game ends with "%d points" - there is a point counter in game for things you do correctly, but you can't see them when the credits roll.

I really liked the game, wish it was a little longer!
