The developer truly could not have been serious when they made this game. At no point in the rambling, incoherent gameplay did it even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Every one is dumber for having played it. I award it no points. And may God have mercy on its soul.

Also, the volume is EXTREMELY loud and there is no menu to change that. There is no menu, period.

It's kinda annoying that I have to give a recommended or not recommended when really I feel in between.

For reference, I have been using the Japanese language learning, so this review is in reference to that.

Positives: I like the way this game presents learning. You go to different locations and learn five nouns related to that area. For example, one location is a cafe so you learn like "drink", or "sandwich", or "lamp". At the farm, you learn farm related words, like "grain", or "donkey", or "bull". They limit you to five words a day per location (but you can override that if you wish) so that you don't overload your learning. You can also explore the town in between those learning areas and pick up a handful of various words, numbers, colors etc. in between.

Negatives: In regards to voice recognition, the game is pretty poor. I have a good mic and a quiet setting, so that's not my problem. There were times I would say the EXACT word and the exact way it tells you to say it, and it would tell me I was wrong over and over. After saying it the exact same way half a dozen times or so, it would finally recognize it as the right word. But since the player is going to be new to these words, they will constantly think they are saying it wrong, which I think will hurt their learning in the long run.

You can also switch from speaking the words to typing them. For Japanese, onscreen options appear in Hiragana for you to click on. Seems fine in theory. However, most words they give you, they show you the kanji of that word, not the hiragana equivalent. So when you have to type it, you have no idea what to type because they didn't show you the hiragana equivalent.

I think this game should not be your first stop on trying to learn a language. It feels like you should only use this when you are intermediate fluency and want to broaden your vocabulary to multiple areas you might not have touched during your studies.

You should also not use the voice recognition mode. Because it is so poor in determining whether what you said is right, you will constantly be second-guessing whether you have a word right and hurt your learning overall.

I've only scratched the surface of this game and it is already a masterpiece. The visuals, the voice acting, the story, the combat are all so well done.

The port is incredible as well. The game runs smooth as butter and I've not had any framerate issue or glitches. The only issues I've noticed are rare audio bugs (sometimes people talking far in the distance sound like they are two feet from your face) and mismatched audio levels (the waterfalls at the Kami of Water Shrine sounded like someone turned on white noise in my ear at 100% volume).

Overall: 100/10. Play this game. Truly a once in a lifetime game that will be remembered for decades.

There's five levels. Your mouse doesn't stay locked in the window. I delivered pizza to an unusually large college girl. 3/5.

I surrendered to the mafia and somehow saved the world and became its President. 10/10.

I am honestly really disappointed in this game. The beta was very enjoyable, and I was really looking forward to this game. The only problems I had in the beta were minor ones that could've been fixed by launch, such as the character list not loading and the menus taking a long time to load. Other than that, the game ran smooth and was a ton of fun.

Not only are those problems still in the game post-launch, but they are even worse and are joined by new ones. The main menu took a good 30 seconds to load and another 30 to become responsive. The character list has to rerender every character each time you go to switch roles, but they render so slowly that it takes probably about 15-20 seconds to get back in game. I also get just random frame drops for no reason every so once in awhile. I don't get this problem with Overwatch or any other high intensity FPS of this sort.

Even if you could stand those bugs, the game has yet to be balanced, from what I can tell, since its release, and most games just have both sides spamming Wraith and Gunslinger, making most matches pretty boring to play since it is the same encounter every match.

I had really high hopes for this game and I still do, but I cannot recommend it in the state it is in right now.

10/10 Would kill Space Nazis again
