The levels tend to be less impressive on first playthrough than Hitman 2016's, but after exploring more and doing challenges, they're really solid. This game also adds some equipment over Hitman 2016 (which can be used in the old levels if you own both) which can be quite fun. I'd recommend getting the full package, as New York and Haven Island are both great maps. On top of my playtime in this game, I have 150 hours in Hitman 2016 and I'm still occasionally discovering new things I can do in levels.

Like with the first one, you can focus on your own restaurant, earn money, buy new foods, and even customize the interior. The real draw and challenge, however, is the new Cook-for-Hire mode, where you can work at existing restaurants. There are 30 of them with themed menus, and each has a series of menus which ramp up in difficulty. Personally, I am enjoying this system a lot more than the first game, where I could mostly just rotate out through a few easy foods and level up.

The listed number of food items is a bit exaggerated, as some are very similiar. Chicken fingers and steak fingers, for example, are essentially the same thing outside of customers wanting one or the other. But there are a lot of cool new foods, and interesting takes on old foods.

Really well designed. Not too much in terms of challenge, but it has interesting puzzles. 100% gameplay / visual-based.

Not everything works quite like clockwork without you encountering people, but the Paris level is a big, open area with a wide range of entrances, disguises, objects to interact with, exits, etc. The disguise system is fixed from Absolution with disguises giving you free access to appropriate areas, with the occasional rarer super disguise that's basically free reign. There's a bunch of ways to go about the assassinations, different targets you can take on, and some other stuff I haven't even played yet. Be aware the game is episodic, but what we have now is great.

My GOTY for 2015, and one of my favorite games of all time. Larger levels require more practice to get all the way through and it replaces the first games wide selection of masks with a small selection of options for each character/level, but I think it makes up for these. Once you get a room down, it's a very intense experience, and certain character styles (such as Evan Wright's ability to switch between non-lethal and full-blown PTSD rampage, or Jake's fast-paced timed nunchuck sessions) are more interesting than some of the HM1 masks.

A major difference between this and the first game (which I absolutely also recommend, and you should play before playing this one) is that the first has a minimalist story which is intriguing but exists only enough to provide a context for violence-fueled missions. This game builds up the story much more, moving to times both before and after the events of HM1. Some people dislike this change, but the story is great, and the ending is incredible.

Also, as a pro tip: A lot of people complain about getting killed by enemies you can't see in this one (because of windows). You need to use shift (or, on a controller, I think L?) to look around. No one can see you outside of your vision range.
