I found out about the game only fairly recently, probably a week before its release. I wasn't expecting much considering it was a free game, but after finishing my first run, I am left with nostalgic memories of a life I lived virtually through this . I have never played a VN novel that has made me feel so seen in a sense that I truly am the protagonist growing up with this boy. The customization in the game is insane, and it allows for so much freedom (so much more than you'd expect in a free VN). The MC doesn't feel bland in the slightest way. It feels like a DnD campaign, where all the characters react to the choices you make, whether its about your appearance or the way you feel about this particular person. The art is vibrant and colorful, and the cast themselves provide interesting relationship dynamics. Whether its with your family, your friends, with Cove, or with his family, the game offers you all those choices and more. Cove is a delight. I don't think I've ever felt so loved, both platonically and romantically, by a character in a VN before. The relationship meter changes so much, and it's just so fun playing it to see how things change. The ability to dictate where you stand with the main love interest brings about so many paths, and the best part is that he also grows depending on the choices that you make.

There's so much joy and love put into this game, and it gives you all that and so, so much more. You can really tell the devs put in so much effort and love in shaping their characters and making the story truly your own. This game surprised me in the best way possible, and if you've stumbled upon it, you have to try it out. Will cop the DLCs soon as I'm hungry for more Our Life content (and more Cove Holden, of course ♥_♥).

saints row iv is an incredibly fun game to play, regardless if you have a partner for co-op or not. gameplay-wise, it's one of the best sandbox style games out there, and the superpowers of this installment to the series only add to the fun. character customization is the same with saints row: the third in that it's completely flexible and provides so many options to play around with. the loyalty missions were great additions as it gives all the characters more dimension and possibly make the player care more about them. humor, of course, is still very much on point. it's saints row, so there's bound to be ridiculous moments in it, and in the best way possible. all in all, a pretty solid game and definitely worth the buy!
