The same thing happens to me, sometimes (which is frustrating; I like swallowing!) I've found there's a correlation with nausea and a) swallowing on an empty stomach (like for morning quickies) and b) being dehydrated. I've heard a few theories as to why this is- everything from the mineral content in ♥♥♥ affects people who are similarly affected by taking a large multivitamin, or that the change in pH might be responsible.

Anyway, you aren't alone and this can definitely be a thing! Try swallowing only if you have eaten in the past few hours, drinking a big class of water after, or eating something mild like bread or saltines to help settle your stomach after if you do begin to feel nauseated.
