Fantastic game and worth of being a Gothic Game. I grew up playing Gothic 1 and 2, with 2 being one of my favorite games of all time.

Gothic Remake is fairly true to the original with many aspects being 1 to 1. Yet some modern improvements and changes like to combat.

If you haven't played a Gothic game they are a great series. They are hard but if you stick to them they have a great progression system.

A solid game and can be quite additive. Clearly inspired and plays similar to plague Inc. but stands on its own. Which for this game means you spawn anywhere form 1-3 disasters on the planet. You upgrade them and spread them around the planet. The route you take is depending on how the population reacts. Generally you slowly amp it up but power them up later. Though some scenarios you do want to rush them quicker (There is also a sandbox and Freeplay modes).

What I do think makes this more interesting than your standard game of plague inc. In plauge you often slowly spread and keep the disease hidden. This game you can't just do that. Your disasters each have there own energy meaning they might only be able to effect 3-5 regions at once max. For most disasters this means you need to kill off all the people in one of those regions to spread. Meaning mid game in this is when you often ramp up your disasters.

You also have a bit of extra control with what are active disasters. They work like normal ones which you upgrade, but you click to use them on the map. They last for a short period of time and have to recharge. This lets you at time directly pick problem areas or even a high populated area so you get a big flow of souls (one of the 3 resources in the game)

Quite a few of the disasters have there own spin on a mechanic. Zombies are about making hoards, war you earn blood as a resource. Also it is fun having active abilities to cast like tornados or meteor.

The game is also a fun challenge. You can play each scenario from a scale of 1-4 with it being quite hard but I've still be able to complete many of the challenges on hardest by the skin of my teeth.

I have had a couple crashes with the game but a couple days in patches have been released to fix crashing and balance.

Anno 117 has been another fantastic title in the Anno Series. It had a few issues at bugs but at launch but most are resolved now. This game being set during the Roman setting.

Anno games if you're unaware are economy games based on setting up production chains. They also have many city builder and RTS elements such as the ability to create military troops and invade other islands. The core of the game is you start on a single island and need to expand. This is because as you grow your population you upgrade houses which provide the next tier of worker, but a building can only provide a single time. The higher tier the worker the more needs wants they have.

Fulfilling those needs not only allows you to upgrade the house but higher tier workers provide more income in taxes and more population. But it becomes a balancing act since higher tier workers won't work low tier jobs. If you have Nobles they will not work farms, so you are required to keep a population of every tier. (though there are ways around this)

You must expand to more island because each island will have a limited amount of resources it can provide. Islands will only have fertility for certain crops or there mountains only certain types or minable material. As you get high tier workforce you will need to setup trade routes between islands. Another aspect of Anno games are regions. At launch this game has two. Latium (Italy) and Albion (Britain). These separate regions not only have certain unique resources to them but also different needs and types of workers. Which means middle and end game you are setting up trade between regions to full fill needs. It can be very satisfying to get those complex trade routes finally working sending goods across the regions.

The game also has military. In the form of naval and land combat. You ♥♥♥♥♥ are generally going to be civilian used only for trade or a warship which still could do trade but has limited cargo space. You are able to customize your military ships weapons and utility. Land forces you unlock through research and it is more about managing the workforce/population to have an army. Armies are expensive. You can also build walls and towers to defend you settlements from attack. War in Anno is often expensive and a long process. Taking an island by force isn't a simple task.

Anno 117 has a short campaign which was fun but your mileage will vary. At the heart of it Anno games are open sandbox with no win condition. In 117 there is a loose an end goal of building a colosseum which you can host games at. The "soft" victory in Anno games is usually who builds the first monument and triggers an event at it. My first game of 177 it took me about 20 hours to achieve this. That said you can continue until you eliminate all the opponents off the map. That said usually you get to a point where you know you won or lost. You are powerful enough no one can stop you or your enemies out grew you.

City Builder Econ RTS games are not for everyone but I still suggest checking out Anno 117. It is one of my top 5 games of 2025.

Highly recommend if you enjoy Paradox and Grand Strategy games.

There is a lot to this game, as many have said it feels as if they took a lot of what they learned from other games recently and put it into this game. It is a Europa Universalis game first but clearly has elements of Vicky and CK3.

incredibly well done narrative game. It is mostly a show which you make some narrative choices and it has a with some mini game elements mixed in. (After playing first to episodes zero spoilers)

It is a funny and quirky story to start. By the end of Episode 2 a few solid seeds have been planted. Each Episode seems to be about 30-45 minutes. Which the majority being animation and 10-15 of it being the main mini game of dispatching or side mini games of hacking.

Highly recommend. It's a great management game with city builder elements.

Along with continuing to be a better version of the previous two games. It adds to major features. The crazy customization that you have in other frontier games like Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo. As well as breading Dinos finally with Juvenile dinos.

The breading and juvenile dinos is such a great addition. It finally lets you try and setup true self sustaining parks or just fun scenarios of tossing X amount of Y dinos in a giant area and seeing what happens. That added on with all the combat mechanics from previous iterations of the game.

I do appreciate the detail customization. It can be fun to truly make some cool scenery or dress up some guest service building. But on top of that if you're like me. It do that once in a while but the build in workshop support just lets you download creations others have made and easily plop them down in your parks.

My main criticism with the game, is true from the first to. The game itself is generally easy. Rarely are you actually struggling to make income and most of the events that cause chaos are quickly fixed (at least in my 6.5 hours of play). That said, unlike some other management games, this isn't a huge issue to me in this game. Since a but part of this game for me is just making cool parks. I do wish there was a tad more difficulty but I think it is a better game to allow you to do things you want to do.

Basically I want to get big dinos and have 20+ species of dinos in my parks. I don't want to feel restricted in a game like this.

Great game and truly a great follow up to the SWAT Series. It has a lot of challenge and huge variety of levels. One of those games once you start to get a handle of how it plays you will have more success.

A lot of backlash due to "censorship" which IMO is blown out of portion. For example one review I seen said "Just learned that the only reason i bought the game was removed.". Granted I think on PC they still should have a non-censored version but all they did was remove nudity, not allow dismemberment after death, and changed a methed out child to a sleeping child.

The tone of the game was extremely dark for some levels and I understand slightly lightening up. But IMO a lot of the outrage is a classic example of why Americans only rate stuff 1 out of 10 or 10 out of 10. They have no naunce and treat every issue as a binary extreme.

Another amazing management game put out by Two Point Studios, the third in their series from Two Point Hospital, Two Point Campus, and now Two Point Museum. I'll first talk about my thoughts on this game and then how it compares to the previous two.

The game has you managing museums which can be down via a career mode as well as Sandbox. The primary gameplay loop is placing exhibits to attract guest, improve those exhibits, collecting more types of exhibits, and finally the balance of keeping an income, tackling various challenges of management.

There is a lot of depth to the mechanics in the game. An exhibit has multiple aspects from Buzz, knowledge, entertainment and traits it can have. One of the most interesting parts of the game are there are different types of exhibits that behave differently. For example your standard prehistoric exhibit an object you place and mostly make sure is clean.

Now you can still upgrade that exbit and do things to increase it's knowledge and buzz. Yet, other types of exhibits such as an Aquarium for fish has different needs and setup. Different fish need different water temp, some fish can eat other fish. Haunted exhibits allow you to collection ghost for display which can escape and cause panic if certain things are not met. And you're free to mix and match, and basically required to do this for museum. It's not that you museum can only have one type you can certain specialize in being primary focused on one type but often will have multiple.

There are other mechanics in place when it comes to sending out expeditions to find new museums or collect more of an artifacts to improve its knowledge bonus. You can setup tours and run marketing campaigns. Different types of guest have different wants, and so on. It leads to a very fun gameplay loop with enough depth to really play around with, but not so much you can't pick it up intuitively.

Finally I think it is important to compare it to the previous two games in the Two Point series. Since they all have the same skeleton. To get it out of the way, I think Museum is plenty different from the other two where it doesn't feel like the previous games with a different skin. There are some core elements that cross over which isnt a bad thing, but many mechanics are added or change up enough it provides a much different experience.

If you enjoyed either of the previous games this you will enjoy easily. If you werent a fan of either game this probably won't pull you in unless the idea of a Museum really appeals to you. If you liked Hospital but weren't a fan of Campus, I think this is a better game and most would enjoy it. Since a criticism for some with Campus was it was a bit too similar to hospital though I didn't agree with that.

I also think this game show Two Point is continuing to improve on their formula for making management games. Maybe the best example of this is the improved customization. Specifically with more types/themes and more control on walls, floors, and fencing you can place.

The last part I would like to touch on is difficulty. I found Two Point Hospital a great challenge when you got to later levels or DLC levels. Two Point Campus I found way to easy. I enjoyed Campus but the game was IMO incredibility easy. TPH I at times of fail missions or really struggle to get that 3rd Star in some levels. In TPC never once failed a level and 3 starred all base game levels with out literally have a single student fail out let alone ever get a grade lower than a B.

This game provide challenge in a couple levels where you have to play at a decent level to not only hit challenge Stars but to keep a budget.

TLDR: Fantastic game, a great improvement on the Two Point Series, and highly recommend.

Fantastic sub game. You can go as sim or arcade as you like. I personal enjoy the nice in-between.

You can play from day one of the war to end war. A lot of good little sandbox options. From choosing mission types, events that pop up during a mission, and upgrades. The first person and cut out views are very immersive when under attack.

Amazing RTS, it is an improvement upon the first game in nearly every way. A few minor nitpicks around few settings not a ton of maps. Overall the additions are great, and tweaks on the factions a great change up.

Best changes are the item system for planets, capital ships, titans, and star bases.
