You should definitely get the game because it is very fun,

However putting basic ass hairstyles behind a paywall is cringe and scummy when the game is already 40 bucks and overflowing with other purchasable cosmetics.

And people crying about AI voices need to find a job.

I will recommend it because the MP is most important anyways these days which is very fun and works except that the playable air space is a bit small, HOWEVER the campaign is a big f*ing letdown...

I always liked the BF campaigns, they usually include different things, this one basically includes nothing. Things I dislike:

Story things:
- 0 options Spoilers ahead, but don't be scared the story is ♥♥♥♥ anyways No options, I wanted to shoot Kincaid, not an option, loser gecko stops you, gets shot anyways so could have let me shoot him for the satisfaction. second annoyance just after, show me Mills getting merced because you just know the trash writers are bringing her back because murphy is too much of a loser to finish the job, shouldve played as hemlock.
- Characters are lame, Murphy is alright, the intro of the game is pretty good but it transitions to him being saved way too fast. Gecko is annoying, made to cool for being a sniper probably for some reasons but that is up to you, this did not have to be the case. Hannah from BF4 campaign never bothered me and was a good addition. Lopez is a loser, why is there a loser in an "elite squad" does not make sense. then Carter, he dies in a lame way where is the rest? terrible death, not shocking and not sad. Hemlock is the only good character, but he is introduced too late and the only reason the character is good is because he does not say corny stuff like the rest but just shuts up unless necessary.
- The voice lines are mega corny
- Story is very short

gameplay things:
- No headshot 1 taps (atleast on hc but if health scales with difficulty then it is trash anyways)
- Armoured enemies (These are spammed throughout all levels and they are just bullet sponges which is just not fun, it takes 2 sniper headshots + 1 bodyshot to take them down...) Just spawn more enemies....
- Ammo bags every 2 meters
- Vechicles are also bullet sponges, no it is not fun to hit a helicopter 3 times with an RPG for it to go down, if you want a "boss fight" just bring in 3 helis...
-Way too easy even on hardest difficulty, except if you're in the wrong place in which case you die immeadiately but if this happens once it is just free.

So, campaign is terrible even the short campaign of the French trooper in BF V, or Through Mud and Blood in BF1 had more connection to the characters than this pile. so sad that We can't have nice campaigns in AAA shooters anymore, last 2 were MW 2019 and COD WW2 and no you can not change my mind.

Short game not worth the 1 euro

Very fun, it takes about 4-5 hours to complete, but it is not a drag and they never redo mechanics they used before keeping the whole game fresh.
Just do a blind playthrough, you'll have fun.

The movement shooting in this game is really good, but for a 20+€ game I would expect a bit more gameplay (especially if there is not really any story) . 100%ed the game within 9 hours. Next to this the world feels a bit empty and even though it feels empty it still feels very linear even though it has the open world tag

overall, fun game, too short to be worth it, with more content yes, definitely not worthy of the 99% recommendations on steam in my opinion with this little content, people should stop reviewing games for what they could be.

(If you would like a movement shooter, you should get severed steel, by the same devs but then it is only 2€ on sale :D)


(edit: I forgot to mention, with raytracing random frame drops to 15-30 from a stable 165 frames during the rest of the game.)

NEW REVIEW:
Game is a lot of fun to play two game rounds of every time you get online, it can be kind of casual to just run around in a level 10 mission with 4 people.
It is cinematic and everything can be unlocked by just playing.
Major orders give a sense of directions and make it feel like you actually are contributing to a larger battle.

OLD REVIEW:
Very fun game, but 10 days after release full servers for multiple hours is crazy. especially for a 40$ game...
They did not even bother implementing a queue, but just random retrying.
Only buy if you do not want to play in the weekend....

Good sequel, double gear combined with the upgrades lowers skill required to play (which I think is good for players who are new to the game/genre), make sure you at least play on normal difficulty.

On a good rig the performance is acceptable, feels a whole lot nicer to play compared to the first C:S, would recommend if you like the first, if you don't know if it is for you, wait for a sale.

You can call me a loser but I wish the game had an option to not have spiders walking across your face...

Was one of the first shooters I ever played, it looked amazing back then and it still looks decent now.
Sadly it does not run well with current input devices, Mouse acceleration has to be turned off in the files and the mouse sensitivity slider does not go down far enough for my DPI. The key activation is also kind of annoying but it is not a deal breaker.
If you do not think you'll have these issues, play the game, especially for 2,99 it is good value rn, great story. if you have a high dpi, wait for the game to get remastered.
