A game that will be an icon in gaming forever

Would recommend picking up this game and having it in your library, the game is a great mix of puzzle strategy and emotional story telling. The soundtrack is beautifully designed for each and every moment of gameplay and always seems to fit right in with the ambient and lonely environments that you traverse through.

Honestly, that’s what makes the escape sequences in the game so much fun. The constant isolation from human interaction, the same dull white color of the buildings, and the ambient noises of lights flickering and pipes moving can make you feel very alone. It really makes you want to escape and be back out in the real world.

The Easter eggs make this game amazing to, especially if you’ve played other valve games (mainly the half-life series) as there are many connections making them most likely set in the same universe. Rat man is another character who has many hidden layouts spatted throughout the chambers and is great find that can be quite unnerving and mysterious.

This is one of valve’s greatest creation easily, while half-life 2 was amazing in their own regards I feel as it didn’t capture that perfect balance of deeper meaning storytelling and ambient gameplay that is all wrapped up nicely to really make the player feel something.

Another recommendation would be to go and play the first portal as well, ties in with the story and is a pretty quick play through, plenty of Easter eggs to find as well.

Overall this game is great, worth full price easily. I would easily give this game a 9/10 for its amazing gameplay elements that fit perfectly with the story. Many ask for portal 3, but the truth is, this game ties up many loose ends and leaves the rest to the player to ponder

The Forest is probably one the best horror survival games on the market. From first coming out of the plane, to building an epic base and then exploring the hollow depths of the caves. I would strongly recommend that you play this game with a friend as discovering new sights and items will have you both saying WTF. This game is full of clues and twists that further lead the plot. Though the game can be very buggy at times the devs update the game quite frequently and keep polishing it to make an even better gameplay. Overall I give this game a 9/10 for its jaw dropping moments and amazing progression system. I can't wait to see what will be coming in the next update!!
