fantastic entry in the doom series. just not sure about two things. How does this tie doom 2 to doom 2016 (bethesda/ ID say it does). I'm also confused hot people beat the last 2 levels with the n64 controller? cuz damn those least 2 levels kick your butt.

PS; AVGN has done a review of the Earthworm Jim Trilogy. I'm of the same opinion as him. Earthworm Jim just completely missed the mark on this one.

Used to play this game alot, used to be called Armagetron Advanced. Manuel moos being one of the dev team guys, goes by zman in game. but anyways this game is seriously just Trons light cycle, and some of the most fun I've had was playing this lan style at a friends house, with beer and pizza in between rounds.

Also recently got a steam deck. works perfectly. the only issue is you need to plug in a keyboard to change your name, that and all the prompts are in keyboard key. Just those 2 minor issues, otherwise completely perfect. maybe a hotfix for this AA team?

So whats wrong with this game?
-Discount AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! - A Reckless Disregard for Gravity, witch they also made.
-Was put on steam green light back in 2011, because you know. It was the cool new thing at the time.
-After 11 years (as of this post) the game has received no updates. Not even a minor hotfix.
-A good group of people who have his is because of the potato sack, witch came with Portal 2.
-the only draw of this game is the games outrageous title, like most of Dejobaan's other titles.
-so bad it's no longer available to buy.
-abandonware much?

Duke, what did they do to you? Honestly yes, every last criticism you've heard about this game is true. IT SUCKS! this was one of the last physical games I've bought. I've waited and waited. Come spring 2011, Gamestop at the time had a preorder bonus, where if you preordered the "Hail to the King Edition" you would get the first DLC for free. I still, 11 years as this post, have yet received a copy of the Hail to the Icons Parody pack. There is a sale going on for it making it 1.99 USD, not geting it out of principle. I should not pay for something promised for. AND that I paid extra for already. For everyone else, stick with Duke Nukem 3D. A complaisantly made game, with 4 expansions, and a ton of mods.

DO NOT BUY

My issues with the game;
-I would say my issues are the same as the other negative reviews. most of the other negative reviews on how the game was lazily made. How you can get the same experience form pirating the game (witch you shouldn't do). Most of the negative reviews, including myself, couldn't make it past the first hour. The other half couldn't make it past the single digit hours of play.

-Should of been more like The Sega Mega Drive and Genesis Collection. Where yes you can have the POV of looking at a TV (arcade cabnet in this case) or go full screen with side bars. Also originally Sega mega drive pack dis sell the game in 5 packs, but allowed you to buy everything in one purchase or individual game. Not Arcade Stadium!

- You only get 1 free game 1943, yes I know that series does have its fans, but why not something more popular like Street Fighter 2? concertinaing that they have Super and Champion as well? Along with a stage being censored.

-You know the game is bad when the game is at a 48% approval and instead of capcom saying "Hey lets fix this and mabie add more games". They make a sequel and announce it 15 months later.

-Why no Online play, leader board or local co-op? Sega Mega Drive has it!

Like with Spyo Reignited, this game fatefuly recreates the Crash Bandicoot Trilogy. Along with 2 special stages. My only complaint is they should of added Crash Bash and Crash Team Racing.

I beat this game by not playing it

What I liked:
So far the best Terminator game ever made. Most of the the previous games where meh to god awful. The game does a excellent job of putting you in the shoes of a member of the resistance, scrounging around, trying to crape together a means to fight back agent the machines. The game does feel like a good continuation of the first 2 terminator movies. from the perspective of the future war, we only got to briefly see in the first movie. Obviously the dev team loves the first 2 movies and it shows. By the end of the game, it feels like walked threw the hell of the future war. I did also like that they added in Robert Patrick's character. It's only his image. You run across him in a skynet controlled hospital. Where he was experimented on to death. All you know is he was a unnamed resistance member. Also adding to the reason why infiltrator models were so effective. They where using the faces of actual resistance members. Also they did add John Conner, the way he appears in the extended cut of the first movie, with the scars on his face.

There is also a infiltrator mode, witch allows you to play as a infiltrator model T800. It did leave me wanting more. despite loving this mode, its only one mission that can be beaten in 45 minutes. would love to of seen a full story mode based on this.

What I hated:
- the graphics, they really need to be polished up. I wouldn't say the game us ugly. its just some of the decals just look awful. mainly the hair of characters. I'm normally I'm not one of those people who what every game to look picture realistic.
its just half of the decals look fine, the other half look god awful.
-melee attacks feel sluggish and off. granted you aren't using it that much. its just wonky.
-lock picking is a copy paste from skyrim
-hacking is literally frogger.
- Its easy to predict the terminators, concertinaing they walk a set path, plus you have a head set that allows you to see them threw walls.
- would of been better is the game play was more set up like a rainbow 6 game or gears of war, with a cover system.
-no multiplayer was a shame. would of been cool if there was a left4dead style resistance vs machines mode or a some other multiplayer mode.
-infiltrator mode way too short. During Infiltrator mode you play as Arnold Schwarzenegger's character. But couldn't license out his likeness. In the promo images for the game. The T800 with the half torn off face is supposed to be Arnold.


Final thoughts:
Despite some of the graphics issues and changes to gameplay I would like to of seen. This is still one hell of a good game.
