...............why did this game have to be so beautiful?

So this post is from Aug 2025, last time i played this was back all the way in 2013. Yeah my opinion is still the same. If you REALLY, REALLY like Indiana Jones. But you REALLY, REALLY like Half-Life's gravity gun. Then you might want to try this. (also the only saving grace for me, is the skin for Killing floor 1)

I actually enjoyed Pumpking jack. It's a fun little late 90's-esk plat-former game. With a cartoony Halloween theme, and does have some comedy hits mainly in the references to classical music like Ride of the Valkyries. Granted it is rather easy and simplistic mechanics, this game does a good job at least hitting that itch for those gamers who want to revisit a more old school 3D platformer. Would give this game a 7.5/10

Now here is the cons
-The game is on the shorter side, and can be beaten in 4.5-5.5 hours
-The cut-scenes have a talking narrator, but the rest of the in game dialogue is in speech bubbles you have to scroll threw.

You do play as Pumpkin Jack, who is a hell spawn of the Devil. Just cuz the Devil was board. I'm Stating this as some may find the topic of the game inappropriate .

This may not be the most groundbreaking, revolutionary, or to help you get more frags, but dang your desktop is fire!

From my experience of using this software it tended to mess up my system. Giving me bad or outdated drivers. Along with my antivirus triggering a trojin attack. HOWEVER there is a better solution. Use Windows Powershell! Its already installed on your windows computer. Just type in the fallowing: winget upgrade --all. Yes with two dashes. This should install all the updates windows update missed, along with updating all your other programs. It will update steam and other game launchers, but not your individual games.

I got this back in the day for free, when the BFG Edition came out. Since myself and others who already owned Doom 3 for steam. Having said that, is it good? Yeah kind of. The target audience for this are console gamers and it shows. the menu system feels like meant for controllers in mind even on PC. It comes with doom 1, doom 2, and doom 3, along with all the expansions up to that point. Including a new expansion for doom 3, the lost mission. Doom 1 and 2 are great, its just doom 3 people may or may not like. as its not as much of a run and gun, and more of a survival horror flow of combat. The lost mission is okay, just nice extra content. Think of it as Half life 2's lost coast. doesnt add a whole lot and you arent missing anything if you skip it.

For new Doom players who may want to play the older games without mods, then get this. For older doom players and new players who want mod support. Then stick with the stand alone versions. Also there is a mod for doom 3 to add in the lost mission.

As someone who has prestiged 3 times here are my thoughts.

This game is awesome battlefield clone. with some building mechanics. But not as absurd as fort night.

but there are some tech issues with the game. Granted YES THE GAME IS IN EARLY ACCESS. Therefore it is going to have some issues. Mainly people abusing the movement system. the devs in Dec of 2023 said they are working on a major update to fix this, but its currently July 2024 without that update. Snipers are obnoxiously OP. There is also a set of 5-7 weekly challenges that aren't working right over the course of the last month. what's the problem?
Sometimes it changes when;
-the map changes
-you change servers
-you're afk for 5 seconds too long
-you change class
-the game mode changes
These challenges help you level up, witch is a pain when you're asked to get 50 kills with X weapon. You get 48, the map changes, and it resets it's self. I do like the devs and know they are doing there hardest to fix these issues. I do recommend this game however. As I believe the devs have an awesome game on there hands. And if you're tired of Battlefield, give this game a shot.

This is just Gwen the Hen 64, just with Pigeons and hotdogs?

A nice little 90's 3D platformer akin to Mario 64 or Banjo Kazooie. Runs and plays perfectly. Just be warned, it is possible to beat the game in a hour. Just be aware of that if your trying to fill a craving for that kind of platformer, you may wat to get Yooka-Laylee or one of the Crash Bandacoot or Spyro Remasters.

This game reminds me a lot of Life is Strange 1 and If found. It's a very beautifully drawn and written visual novel. About loss, greaf, and longing for the past.

As of this post I've been playing videogames for almost 25 years. With a few hundred of thousands of hours played, and a almost a thousand games played. This is the first game where I cried at the end. How did RB wolf manage to do this?
