Completely unbalanced, even after exploring and collecting almost all the Scadutrees, you still suffer from things like:

Extremely fast bosses that will perform sequences of up to 6 or 7 attacks.

Every boss has a second phase, including an AOE explosion that most often kills you instantly depending on your vigor or remaining health.

Excessive effects such as flames, glow, and other effects that prevent you from seeing the bosses' incoming attacks.

Extremely strong common enemies that can kill you with up to three hits, even with high levels of vigor.

You will rarely have a pleasurable experience with the bosses in this DLC, leaving only the rich story and characterization of the bosses.

Regarding the rest of the DLC, I point out the following information:

Extremely empty map, where exploration will be limited to collecting cookbooks and scadutree fragments, with its strong points being the main locations where exploration and items are dense.

Excessive reuse of enemies that will be found throughout the DLC, including enemies already known in the Lands Between.

Dungeons that are summarized by themes from the base game (blood, frenzy, ice, fire) having already known aspects, not bringing much novelty in some explorations.

Excess of summon scrolls throughout the DLC, it seems that the developers just took advantage of the fact that they already had the enemy models and decided to turn them into summons.

Excess of fire golems, requiring an extremely tedious fight that can take up to 10 minutes.

Excess of dragons reused from the base game that follow the same fighting style, only with additional damage elements.

NPCs are constantly breaking when summoned, where most of the time they will stand still and won't even enter the fog wall.

Final Conclusion:

FromSoftware has a very good track record with games and their DLCs, but in this one, I think they completely lost the sense of what is fair and unfair, resorting to artificial difficulty mechanisms that are pitiful, along with the large open world that mostly gives a sense of emptiness. The story is extremely rich but the final boss didn't please me much, I was initially surprised but all the pleasure was gone after having to face it in a tiring fight, with FPS drops and the excess of brightness and light show happening while I played.

I believe it is still possible to improve the DLC by balancing the damage the player takes during fights, but regarding the rest of the information I mentioned above, I think it's very difficult to fix half of these, since the game is already considered finished.

Final rating: 3/5
