I adored Halo growing up. It was a great time sitting with my friend; Infinite just makes me sad. No couch-coop, campaign that ends just as it feels like it's getting some momentum, disregard for the previous entry (to the point of resolving THOSE conflicts off-screen) and, of course, it's a live service.

The microtransaction shop needs to die. The game is fun, don't get me wrong, and you can get a lot of hours of fun with the free multiplayer. But at its core, the part that I always cared about was the story and characters. This ain't it. Play for fun if you want, but don't support the shop. Watch the campaign.

Many years have passed since then, and a lot of them have moved on from Portal, Steam, games in general, etc. But the memories are there. Portal is an excellent game with great writing and good puzzles. A bit short, but worth playing even today. Get the sequel.
