As I played through the first hour of the single-player campaign I realized this game is not at all what I expected. Most of the levels put you in a small confined area and then throw a few waves of enemies at you. There were very few levels that actually had any exploration. It was quite boring and I even tried going further into the campaign to see if it gets any better, but it just wasn't for me. Multiplayer was also a disappointment, other players seem out of sync at times and the quality of the servers could be better. If multiplayer were to be fixed with a couple of patches it could make the game a bit better, but not deserving of its $60 price tag. There's also a few features that could be added to make this a better experience, such as actual working rifle scopes(not just an overlay that totally restricts your vision), smooth turning, toggle grip for guns, more recoil when using guns one handed, and better loadout customization in multiplayer (sidearms & choosing equipment). Thankfully, Steam allowed me to get a full refund on this game even though I played past 2 hours. I really hope the influx of negative reviews will encourage Respawn Entertainment to improve this game, I really think it could be redeemable if done right.
