recent updates are showing a habit of pushing this game into unfortunately extremely tedious and unfun territory

it's promising but feels very much like a rough, pretty bland carbon copy of ssx in this state. probably needs a lot more time for the dev to work on it

it's a terrible port that does kinda drag down a pretty fun game. this is a recommend with a lot of caveats. with some tweaks it's more bearable though:

i found setting the deadzone shape in steam's controller settings got rid of the awful diagonal movement. you can't walk as easily anymore, but who has time to walk in this game lol

the graphics and max FPS can be improved with the great zmod mod loader by Fragonite. it honestly makes this game feel way fresher. the animation is snappy and smooth. it feels more like a proper modern action game to me honestly like this.

the game is fun, though it's hard for me to stand behind the crazy monetization and the fact that they took so many lazy ways out in this port. maybe if you can get it on a deep discount it's worth it, but honestly why not just play DW Origins instead?

this is way more than haha cute rodent game. it's genuinely one of the best picross/nonogram games i've ever played. the interface is totally intuitive and easy to use, and the gimmick of calling on your ratto when you need help is kinda genius. it's clear this dev team put their heart and soul into this game. can't recommend this one enough.

incredibly bland gameplay. the visuals drew me in but the weapons all feel weak, there's no impact to almost anything. the melee dash mechanic is a cool idea but it's kind of just a less interesting version of doom's glory kills. maybe if you're a super fan of Warhammer 40k or you're absolutely starved for this kind of shooter, you'll get something out of it, but otherwise there's way better examples of this genre out there.

difficult, but not absurdly so. it's extremely satisfying to run through it when you get a handle on the physics. i think it's probably easier than getting over it? it seemed like the devs added a ton of ways to recover without too much trouble once you know what's up (and if you stay calm). overall, a great experience, and the podcasts were funny as hell.

it is absurd how good this game is. sure, for the extremely well designed mechanics themselves, but almost every review says that. for me, i'm just kinda in awe of how perfect the minor details are. the sound effects are punchy and satisfying, the cards sway when you mouse over them, special cards shimmer and sparkle, beating a boss blind has a special chime, all the way down to how beating a round by a huge margin gives you this crazy fire effect on the score. it's a game made by someone who totally understands how to make something feel good. and that's awesome.

The state of this game is a shame. It's genuinely a fun time, but there are persistent, constant connection issues that make it hard for me to recommend this. Knowing the devs never have released a single patch for this game adds to that. If you're curious, for the love of god do not buy it at $60. it's absurd what it's priced at for how put together with sticks and glue it feels. like solo dev indie games are more stable than this ♥♥♥♥.
