I don't ever remember having ever written a review for any game that I have ever played, I love countless games from multiple different genres and a lot of them will hold a very special place in my heart.

Outer Wilds feels way stronger than that. This game legitimately changed my life and my way of thinking about the world, the video essays on this game have opened my world view to make me feel more at peace with the various stress I may have at any given time.

I don't remember the video on hand but I remember the mindset of "sometimes you don't get anything accomplished. And that's okay." Another of "sometimes you just explore and take in the sights", another of "sometimes you get stuck until you find the one thing that clears everything up". All of these apply to Outer Wilds and have made my life better in various different ways.

I love this game. I played probably 70+ hours when I first pirated it (I know, but I didn't wanna waste money if I didn't know I liked it) and I have put in another 30 with the DLC being added. I have bought this game no less than 8 times for myself and my friends and family. I truly believe that anyone who doesn't go crazy from puzzles and lots of reading with little real "action" should play this game. Not everyone can sit through a game like this, but if you can it might be one of the most beautiful things you ever experience.

It's not possible to give reasons in a review why this game is as beautiful as everyone says it is. It's best played blind. Honestly even the store page gives too much away. It's a space exploration/puzzle/story game. That's all you should really know going in.

Try it out, I hope you enjoy it, I'd pay a lot of money to experience it again.
