I am (currently) the only speedrunner of this game, so I have played Demon Stone more than most.

It's alright

It doesn't look great and the controls are a little awkward. It's pretty short, even from a casual perspective, but there is little fluff and the levels are unique and generally well-paced. There is a shocking amount of voice talent and the music is really good for this style of game.

It's obscure for understandable reasons, but an interesting time capsule. This release is vastly more stable and functional, and the best way to experience a somewhat rough, but unique hidden gem.

Also, if you so happen to upload record your gameplay and submit your run to speedrun.com/demonstone you would be super cool.
