Like everyone else, I expected TWW3 to be the peak of the series.

TWW2 ended on a massive high and we were all excited for the final iteration that brought dozens of DLCs and 3 full titles together

But then CA did almost everything wrong. Completely reverting lessons learned from 2, seriously raising prices, reducing quality, power creeping everything, ruining the AI, threatening the playerbase with cancellation, demoting the game to a skeleton crew...

It's all fixable, if CA are willing to put in time, effort and money it deserves (and we pay for with the DLC prices). But as it is, TWW3 looks to be going out with a whimper.

It's hard to recommend this game when it's clearly so unfinished. The potential is there, but very few systems actually feel refined, leading to horrible balancing and concepts that wear thin after a few turns. With mods and expansions this could easily become a classic, but in its current vanilla state it's a huge step back for the series and proof that Firaxis hasn't learnt their lesson from the bland Civ V release.

Highly disappointing.

Stunningly beautiful, To The Moon is a game that's lyrical in every sense of the word.
