Hello Grey. Indeed as a Blue Sentinel user I am familiar with the oddity that occurs when you kick a player from your world and you get flagged for it by BS. It's a glitch within BS itself. I sent a Blue home who was fighting Vilhelm who had a terrible connection. Thanks for the heads-up though and for hanging out to fight.☮️

As a red invader SL41 is the lower limit for SL65, but for an Aldrich invader it is even lower at SL32. I invaded you with "Julie Newmar", my 44+6 build as I stated before, and with an accurate description as to what transpired. Please read this slowly, sounding out the big words, maybe even asking a guardian or adult to explain this to you before attempting to respond. Spaz, to end this on a positive note we (as a group of swamp hosts) now refer to all the reds who invade us who instead of attacking us prefer to stay and have numerous fights with Blues, Farrons and other Reds, and who also help break up ganks, as "Traitorous Reds". Appreciate you for the descriptive term.☮️

as a host, I dont want to engage in any fights with invaders. I will just run to the fog wall and beat the boss, for this is what fromsoftware compels me to do. I will also do my best to conserve my precious souls, for if I were to die, it would be catastrophic indeed. How else will I level up, and become one of the ten elden rings?

Final note: as I mentioned on Gronkey's page, the host in question has a table active that raises the invasion cap to maximum. I.E., the world can be comprised of the host and 5 farrons, or the host and 5 reds, or any combination thereof. So the red isn't affecting the number of slots. Personally, I would always choose to fight a red and a host over a white and a host. Lack of friendly fire is OP.

point is, people do all sorts of stuff. I always invade as a red, never as a farron, because I want to be able to kill anyone in the world. if I get a good vibe from the host, Ill kill farrons with them. If I dislike the host, or like my fellow reds or the farrons, I'll help them kill the host instead. I just wanna kill who I wanna kill. And I don't invade as a purple because it kicks me after I've killed max 3 people, which is just dumb. I'm here to play, not watch loading screens. The functional value of the red covenant to me is what defines it, not some static definition that the game devs assigned it in 2016. If they REALLY didn't want reds to kill farrons or reds, they would've coded that in. DS3 is ultimately a community, and a community isn't really ruled by law, first and foremost. It's ruled by convention that gets codified into law. Even us having this argument is proof of that.

You've probably seen some jenine, right? half his invasions are running away. Reality is, a decent player with a murky whos ring fapping should literally NEVER get hit if only a single player is chasing them down. But thats not what I came here to discuss!
I've been invaded by players who:
throw out a warmth, gesture, then immediately leave
guide you through some obscure parcore jump
are cosplaying/roleplaying as an NPC and try to act like them as much as possible
are cosplaying as an NPC until they start to die and then they switch to murky
just wanna watch fights, but not fight themselves
only want to duel
only want to gank
will try to attack their fellow farrons for like 2 minutes
use only broken weapons and fish for 5 damage backstabs
hide somewhere in their NG+7 world with infinte seeds on
AND a whole bunch more.

I don't want to engage in duels while people who should be helping me sit around and twiddle their thumbs, but I also don't want to not fight, which is why it makes me mad when I go to help my fellow invaders fight some sweatlord twinked out host and then see them disengage and sit around when I'm now fighting said host. Also, sorry to say but hating on people running who run away is a straight up skill issue. It's so damn easy to punish people trying to run away in every soulsborne game. Just hardswap to a better running attack weapon like a spear or a fast r1 weapon like a dagger and keep pressure and you just win.

You are right about there being roles, however, behaviour should be shaped by their in game roles. As an invader, the built in role is to kill my enemies, how thats done doesn't matter. If I see another invader going against the in game roles, I have every right to be mad about that. Why don't they get summoned in a way that reflects their role? Why aren't they summoned as a warrior of sunlight red or white? or a mound maker, or just a normal white phantom. Also, saying I "dont have to fight" is very silly because that's the whole point of invading (the game literally tells you to kill the host, or phantoms if you're purple). If you want to roleplay some honorable duelist in an open ended roleplaying game, go play an mmo like ff14, because soulsborne multiplayer isn't that open ended, you either help the host progress or you kill them.

I also hate when I get into someone's world and they just run away from me. I might think something like "just play the game! stop running away!" but the reality is, they are playing, just not how I want them to. AND, while I might not realize it in the moment, that experience is super important for me. Why? Because I hate that person now. Killing them is infinitely more satisfying than killing some bonfire duelist. AND, it makes the 'honorable' or 'chill' players that much more likeable. Because everyone has the choice to be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, or a runner, or a hacker, or a ladder glitcher, or whatever. And when people choose not to, it means something.

@4k Spazz you're right about made up invasion rules being silly! You don't have to engage in duels if you don't want to! But you also don't have to fight! In fact, the game doesn't force you to do anything. And that's what's so great about dark souls compared to say, tekken or street fighter or whatever. You're in a world! You're roleplaying! You can do whatever you want! Telling people they "play the game" wrong is a silly thing no matter how you do it. If it's a game, you play it to have fun. And if you are having fun, you're playing it right. Now, other people might infringe on that fun, but as a multiplayer game with relatively open-ended interaction, that's just a reality. If they are having fun, they are playing the game correctly. It doesn't mean you have to like what they are doing; for example, I block people who hack
maliciously.

Also, since I have to explain it to you somehow, what a traitor red is should be obvious. It's an invader that sides with the host instead of trying to kill them. Invaders goals are to kill the host. Using the red summon sign to summon friends in a pvp covenant area is also incredibly dishonest, since the red summon sign is meant to be used to summon people to duel the host or other summoned duelists, not fight pvp covenant invaders like farron watchdogs or aldrich faithful. Basically if you want to duel your friends, take that to the bridge above the Old Wolf of Farron bonfire, or to the arena. But roping random covenant invaders into your silly duels and then ganking them if they don't follow along with your made up rules is scummy, and don't complain about "getting ganked" when it backfires.

Complaining about getting outnumbered in that situation is extremely silly because you are literally asking to be outnumbered (basically bring more blues or white phantoms to survive longer if you hate getting dogpiled on by 4 farron watchdogs, which shouldnt even be possible without a mod or ce lmao).
Or, are you telling me that you believe in made up "invasion rules" where everyone has to sit and wait their turn for a 1v1 with the host? Because that's a kinda pathetic mentality. I play the game to play the game, not sit around and jerk off in the corner while the host 1v1's some helpless farron watchdog.

I find it really funny how you are calling me a ganker despite the fact that I was only ever either a finger of rosaria or a farron watchdog. Do you think that anyone who fights 2 or more vs 1 is a ganker? Because I have some unfortunate news for you, but the term ganking only ever applies to the host and their summons (or in this case their traitor reds), since that side can be organised/planned 100% of the time, and the host gets major advantages compared to invaders. The host using dried finger in a covenant area to try and let in as many invaders as possible also means that they are inviting all of those invaders to fight them and whatever white, gold, or blue phantoms are on their side (which is why being a friendly red phantom is so scummy, because most inexperienced invaders assume that the red is on their side against the hosts side).

4K, you are confused and a little weird. Kombat was an asshat farron ganker, Arid was a noob red invader, and you're not sure who was cheating but "someone" was, maybe one of them? And what the hell is a "traitor" red? You never fought a red as a red lol? What's scummy is ganking, and you're a ganker. I launch the game to fight, and will fight anyone who wants to, but since I'm not a ganker, sometimes I stand around waiting for a fight. Or to break up a scummy gank....BTW are you 12 years old or just mentally challenged? Asking for the Souls community so we know how to treat you. ☮️

Either way being a traitor red is scummy, and why would you launch the game to just watch people fight, that sounds incredibly boring and shallow. Like just watch a stream if you want to watch people play a game.
