Would not recommend in its current state (reviewed at launch of early access).
Far too expensive for the current quality and expanse of the game.
-Minimal enemy types: rats, goblins, the other goblins, vault enemies...and well thats about it.
-No QoL that nearly all other survival games learned - no auto deposit/quick sort to chests, no auto craft from nearby chests.
-exp for crafts is gained on item pickup, making it hard to share a base in multiplayer since just being near a station will grab the items dumped on the ground after crafting.
-armor system is inherently uninteresting..there's only 3 'sets' (mage/seemingly bow/shield or melee) with minimal benefits from higher tiers.
-constantly needing to eat/drink. I mean constant. You drain 1 food/water every 1.5-2s or so, and there is currently zero benefit to actually eating or drinking. Any of those stats being at 0 will constantly drain your health. Much prefer the valheim implementation that you only get bonuses from eating but there's little detriment to skipping it.
-sleeping/resting in multiplayer. You have a 'rest' bar of 0-100 and only recover 1 per second when in a bed. If you're at 50, expect to sit afk for 1 minute in a multiplayer world not doing anything else. Oh, and you can get attacked by the dragon or goblin warbands or hunted during this time.
-animations cant be cancelled. Casting most magic is painful unless you know its 100% safe to do so.
-lack of interesting leveling features. Its very easy to currently cap the skills but the benefits of leveling them feel non-existent.

I feel like there's so many more issues that this game is a complete skip at the moment, it needs another year to cook at the very least. For now, go enjoy enshrouded, grounded, valheim, or nearly any other more matured survival game.

unplayable for people who can easily get motion sickness. all animations are running at 5fps at best, but the look/movement is running at regular framerate that can easily cause headaches. No ultrawide resolution support either

While a difficult game, it feels as though GTFO artificially increases it through tedious sneaking and "combat" that overall makes the game feel very dull. The ever present fog obstructs all but 5 feet of vision in many cases, during which you might as well play with your monitor turned off. The environments seem like they would be very cool in many locations, that is unfortunately hindered by the aforementioned fog as well as a near total lack of lighting. Whoever put you in this scenario certainly decided that painting the walls with vanta black would be the best color to suit the room.

The trailers also felt a bit deceptive - despite showing a lot of flashy gunplay footage, very rarely do you get to use your guns. You start with very limited ammo, and any ammo your group finds during the missions is NOT shared. So if one person is greedy, dont expect that you will have any meaningful ammo at all. To add, even the most basic enemies take several bullets to kill unless you have a few well placed headshots - which when compared to the OHKO of a melee weapon, make guns feel overall very weak.

Combat revolves around you sneaking up to an enemy, and bonking it on the head with your hammer to kill it in one hit and not wake up surrounding enemies. Repeat x30 for some rooms all while doing so sneaking as to not alert anything, and it becomes real tedious real fast. The guns all seem like they would be cool

While I can be a bit lax since this is an early access game, there is absolutely no tutorial or information given on what things do or how it works. Pick up a foam grenade? Cool, no idea what it does and theres no in-game description of it. This could easily be remedied with a tutorial that could be added, but as it stands the learning curve is quite steep.

The UI is extremely lackluster and presents a nightmare to navigate. The parallax effect that is added cannot be turned off, which is distracting in its own right without the addition of making it even harder to navigate. To apply settings/hit ok you have to hold a key for a few seconds, which is one of those UI things I never knew I hated until I had to deal with it.

For now, this game is a total skip from me.

While it had a less than stellar launch with server connection issues, Monster Hunter World's PC release marks the series first premier on the PC platform. The genre is probably most similar to dark souls/dragons dogma, but is pretty unique in its own way. If you haven't played a monster hunter game before, I'd say this is by far easiest one to get into.

There is/was a huge flood of negative reviews due to bugs/connection issues, and I can understand why - but I'm also sure that if Capcom fixes everything 100% those people wouldn't flip their review. While I have not had any issues myself on PC, here are outstanding ones (at the time of this review 2018-08-28) that you should consider before buying:
-Nvidia put out a really bad driver for this one. An older driver works fine, but isnt the most optimized. I'm on AMD and performance is great with the latest driver.
-Connection issues have been patched and should not be an issue.
-I strongly recommend using a controller for this game, but if you insist on using m/kb, the camera has very weird mouse accelleration applied to it.
-Some particle effects like lighting cause fps dips for very short moments
-Full resolution textures display blurred or not full res.
-No ultrawide support

For me, I can look past all this - this is already the best version of the game despite the issues above. I had hundreds of hours on PS4, and the PC versions load times alone would make me recommend this.

Fantastic way to play boardgames with long distance friends or random folks on the internet. The DLC games are super high quality, so if you're interested in those, I'd definitely give them an A+. Be sure to always check for scripted versions of tabletop games in the workshop, there are really some genuis level people who create some of them!

Despite being in early access, the gameplay is extremely fun and polished. Each weapon and skill stands out on its own, and higher levels of them have various properties that can create interesting combos. Stacking skills to bleed enemies and a weapon that deals additional damage to bleeding enemies feels very rewarding if RNG blesses you with the right item combo. If you were previously a fan of Rogue Legacy, or Unepic you'll surely love this game.

There are a few bugs I've encountered so far - like falling through the floor (happened just once in 5 hours of playing). If you feel like minor glitches or bugs may put you off on this game, then I would suggest keeping a close eye on the patches and releases, because this is a game rougelike fans will not want to miss.

I want there to be other games like this - but there isnt. There is only 1 risk of rain, but it so good you don't have to look elsewhere to get your roguelike game fix. Its a unique rogue-like, pixel art platformer that is amazingly fun and completely sucks down your free time without you even realizing it.

The combination of amazing music, tons of item diversity, difficult enemies, and complete chance make every time you play unique. With the introduction of the new classes, items and artifacts, this game has breathed additional fun into an already perfect game. Absolutely one of the best indie games I have ever played.

Terraria is one of those games that if you don't own it, you should immediately buy it so that you dont miss out. Its LOADS of fun - especially with the newest 1.2 update. I've almost sank 100 hours into this game, and its one of the cheapest games Ive ever purchased. I would highly recommend playing on a server with friends - its easy enough to host on your own that you dont need much experience, but the server program tshock is a must for any admin.

With the loads of bosses, weapons, armors, and items, its hard to not find enjoyment out of terraria.

Reminds me of Azure Dreams for ps1 - the combat is great and the shop selling is quite fun. Definitely worth it on sale.
