Solarius 最近的评测

If you've ever played the MineColonies mod for Minecraft, it's basically that but much MUCH better. The scale is bigger, the systems are more complex, the multiplayer expierence is leagues ahead. Potentially a huge time sink but a really enjoyable one nonetheless.

tl;dr: If you want a VN that reads like a paperback book, brings up interesting topics and has a very intricate and rewarding to read plot, I would strongly recommend it. I would go even so far as to say that this is about as good as this genre gets and is comparable in quality even with the works of studio Key.


I don't usually leave reviews but I feel obligated to in this case, out of nothing but pure respect to the developers. I'm an avid visual novel fan and to be completely honest, I've been dissappointed in the genre for a long time. So much of it, especially in recent years, has been filled with low quality, low effort, very benign stories with little to no thought put into them. This game isn't like that though. If you're the kind of person that doesn't mind reading through text that isn't filled with action and things happening all the time, you'll be in for a captivating story with a serene atmosphere that I personally haven't quite seen anywhere else.

It reads a lot like a traditional piece of literature, in fact there's very little in the text itself that indicates that it's a VN. No anime cliches, no over the top personalities, everything is down to earth and relatable. And yet, it still manages to paint a beautiful well tied together picture and touch on a number of interesting topics like dealing with loss, the nature of relationships and many more that I can't mention because saying anything more would already be spoiling the plot.

When it comes to characters, none of them come off as deep or complex for most of the story, but not in a bad way. Because, as I mentioned before, the VN is very down to earth and grounded, the characters themselves feel very relatable. They all feel like puzzle pieces, which fall perfectly in their place to add to a greater sum that is the plot of the game. That's not to say they're one-dimensional, not at all. You could probably spend hours discussing every single character and their complexities, especially with the foresight you gain after finishing the game.

I want to also give a separate thanks to Fruitbat Factory for their incredible localization. The word use is perfect, the language is colorful and descriptive and it made me feel like I wasn't losing out on meaning because of not playing the original.
