amazing series and game with an honestly really buggy port
i run into bugs pretty much every time i play this

lumines is an amazing series and you should give it a try but please just wait for arise instead

maybe tencent refers to the budget these generic companies are given

please don't support this in its current state, play world or rise instead

the game's optimization has always been terrible and is suffering more and more with every update and it really doesn't seem like the team is planning on doing anything substantial about it. No amount of frame gen or muddy-looking upscaling can mend floaty feeling controls resulting from the game running at like 30 real frames on most modern gpus.
THE MINIMUM/RECOMMENDED SPECS ARE A LIE

the actual meat of the game is a painfully generic, dragged out and tiringly overcinematic storyline constantly taking away your freedom without warning in a game that was advertised as fully open-world. Have fun trying to explore a new area only to get whistled back by an npc so you can slowly get guided around by your seikret on a set path while they blabber on about boring story.
I say this as someone who ENJOYS the lore/explanantions for endemic life in this game, there are so many infinitely better ways to explain the workings of the world you're in.

this has got to be the most intentionally graphically handicapped game ive ever seen, which is a shame because the visuals are gorgeous when you let them be (locked to 60fps??? forced FSR???? motion blur where ever possible?? what?? why????? the game runs great this was so unnecessary?????????)
mods are basically required if you dont want the game to look awful, they botched the port for this beautiful game so bad it gives me headaches

the end result is still very fun, the layout of the open zones starts feeling natural pretty fast and just becomes a cool game to idle your brain in while looking for collectibles while doing silly parkour
the story is great!
honestly deserves a thumbs up for the AMAZING soundtrack alone!!!
