You're dropped into a world with no tutorial, no narration, no guidebook. Simply click on things, find out what they do, combine them with other things, and LEARN. This game is brilliant in its simplicity and depth. With each death, you learn a little bit more about how to survive for longer. My only complaint is that once you figure out how to survive, the game can stagnate and become rather dull. Sure, you can make up your own endgame goals, but I wish there was better endgame content.
