Super fun game, definitely recommend to anyone with any interest in fighting games. Very easy to pick up, but feels at least a little deeper than Guilty Gear Strive, or maybe the deeper aspects are a little easier to internalize. Sprites and stages all look really nice, and the music is phenomenal (it's not at all like the trailer/cinematic/anime opening music). Character voices get crazy but you can turn them down or off.

Disliked the auto combos at first, it felt like the game was taking control away from me - after a couple hours though they feel really good. Manual versions of them do significantly more damage, so relying on them too much means you need to make more openings than if you did manual combos instead. In some cases too, messing up a manual combo will go into the auto, meaning you at least get an ender instead of just dropping your combo. They also don't feel like they have much in the way of utility, besides getting easy confirms on hits you weren't expecting.

The main defensive mechanic, shield, isn't tied to a meter like it is in other melty games - so I kind of thought it could get abused a lot, and probably will. Especially as time goes on and people get used to using it more, because there's already quite a few clips of some pretty nutty ♥♥♥♥ going on with shield. I've had fun with it so far though.

Not a ♥♥♥♥ load of single player content compared to nether realm games at least. The ranked was bugged day one, but after I found a work around I played around 100 games online with a lot of different players, and all but 2 of them felt really good. If you have to play on wifi, your mileage will vary, but wired connection feels really good.

10/10 will once again.

Can't imagine why they thought we wanted a moba with the Dawn of War label stamped on it.

Can't imagine why anyone in the industry would think anyone wants another moba at all really.

Why don't they make RTS games like they used to?

Super fun, great game, but business practices are ♥♥♥♥. Everyone is calling out Creative Assembly but i'm sure its more Sega's idea.

How they think $20 for a single race is okay is beyond me, considering that this is steam, and i've gotten complete games for less than that. In fact, the only reason I have the game and chaos warriors dlc in the first place is because I caught a pre-order sale for $40.

Yeah buy it on sale.
