Lost all my goodwill with the S1 update. The company is ignoring glaring map issues on almost every map that makes Breakthrough virtually impossible to enjoy, along with a new map release (Blackwell Fields) that is one of the most unfun experiences I've had so far.

A lot of guns are imbalanced. SMGs in general are overtuned and very easy to use and laser heads at extreme ranges with very little damage falloff (about a 15% loss). This is inconsistent with many other heavy-handed nerfs, such as with shotgun slugs (almost a 70% loss), for example.

I was going to complain about the challenges and assignments being stunningly over-tuned and making it extremely tedious and unfun to grind for gadget and weapon unlocks, but they seem resolved to fix that now.

Vehicles are simultaneously too easy to use and too tedious to enjoy. I consider this mostly a good thing as vehicle use should be strategic, and nightmarish to deal with in the hands of a good player. However, it is way too easy for engineers to camp on vehicles and repair-farm them, making them effectively unkillable without a significant amount of the team present. Repair rate needs to be nerfed.

Battle pass is abhorrently structured. A good 90% of it is inaccessible without paying for the pass. I believe the pass has 1100 'battlefield coins' but only 300 are available for free. There is no other way to get these coins. $25 on top of $25 on top of $25 for a $70 game is insane and lots of players will quit if all they get to look at is pages upon pages of locked icons.

A lot of skins are already breaching their "realism" standard, even on release.

Even for $3 this was a genuinely unfun experience. I played this back in beta and it still feels like none of this game makes sense or feels good to experience. By comparison I dropped into BF6 and instantly felt at home. No wonder this game was trashed on release.

Conquest is 100% dead. I tried to join 4 different lobbies and all of them were 1/64 or 1/128 during peak hours. I got into a full breakthrough game but I don't really enjoy any other gamemode besides Conquest.

Great for the price. Very little build variety currently, however, so it got boring fast. Hoping this game's wild success will see it updated with more things.

Playing the free weekend. I did not receive this game for free but I also did not pay the absurd $30 price tag for something that barely functions at the moment.

Unacceptable conditions for a PVE game centered around its coop experience. The game crashes as easily as you breathe and the unbearable stuttering is unplayable for the most part, and the lobby system is so broken that it's a godsend if you can get more than 3 friends in the lobby with no issues.

From what I can tell, the actual game is fine. It has a decent amount of depth and overall just feels, sounds, and looks good to play at its base. When things work, it feels pretty satisfying. Zombies are constantly a threat and even just dealing with 1 at a time can feel stressful. A single misstep means you either lose someone or you expend a lot of personal resources to save them.

I actually really love what I'm playing so far. It's just that everything else is incredibly bad right now. It's sad to think that such a horrendous launch will mean the death of another game that feels pretty bespoke.

My problem is mainly that once I'm playing the game, it desyncs and stutters server-side every 3-5 seconds. This makes the game incredibly unplayable when fighting more than 1 zombie. It can roll back your swing and let the zombie hit you, and if you get infected very early on, there's no point in trying. It's not fun to just keep dying over and over and watch your friends play for 30+ minutes because the maps are huge and insanely long and there's no respawn mechanic. Considering you can have up to 3 survivors at a time, why can't they be 'called in' at the expense of something?

Zombies spawn in rapidly and in very close proximity to you. I've had more instances of zombies spawning directly next to me where I get little to no reaction time to them that it's disheartening to keep playing with these kinds of uncontrollable circumstances. I get that it's supposed to prevent turtling and force players to pace themselves but it's so overly aggressive that it's unenjoyable. Maybe my impression of this will change once the game's lag and server stuttering is fixed.

New hero shooter with the same old issues. Players tilt, won't stop typing, and grief the rest of us trying to enjoy the game. The community makes this game miserable to play for more than 2 or 3 matches every few days.

I don't enjoy the daily/weekly system. The weeklies encourage players to grief by being forced to pick heroes they don't like or aren't comfortable with just to be drip-fed season pass currency. They often don't try and instead focus on farming their weeklies as a priority and make the game miserable for the rest of the team.

Events are way too short. I despise FOMO pressure and all it does is make me want to play less. They're also time-locked to make sure you can't get them out of the way as soon as possible. This game absolutely does not work for people who have a job or life outside of gaming.

No frills bullet hell arena shooter. You play various stages with different layouts. No metaprogression aside from sidegrade unlocks that are basically skill-gated. Just raw, well-designed aesthetics, music, and gameplay. Very short game if you want to 'experience everything' but very time-intensive if you want to get good at it.

Extremely fun and simple. It has this absolutely stellar aura of nostalgia that brings me back to the early 2000's MMO experience.

Genuinely superb sequel to a very fun survival city-builder. It has been what felt like many, many years since I've played a sequel to any video game where it felt like it has *more* content and not *less* than the original.
