I highly recommend this game... but ONLY purchase if on sale, especially if you plan to pick up some DLC.

I haven't bought any DLC, but the base game is extremely fun. One of the most important things to note is that CK 2 requires various degrees of patience, depending on what family you play. For example, If you play as a ruler of Iceland, your start position is located on far-left corner of the map, so be prepared to endure long periods of time waiting to become, say, King of Norway. However, if you're the King of France or England, expect constant intrigue and crises.

It's an extremely fun game, but not for its original price of 39.99. If you don't have the patience to buy it when its on sale, you probably don't have the patience required for the game itself!

For some reason whenever I start the game it says "Steam is not open, start steam and try again" Even when I do have steam open. And whenever I open the game, it prompts me to log in to the User Account Control, I correctly enter my password, but it still does not work.
