Pretty unique in a crowded field. Wish it was a little more difficult, but it has more than enough novelty to be worth the time.

Decent enough cyberpunk aesthetics and story, but the gameplay is absolutely garbage if you have played more than a couple card games. The most basic possible mechanics, four lanes that autoattack with mana that scales automatically each turn, draw 1 per turn. Pretends to have more going on but the "objective" system is literally just life points but they count up instead of down. I had hopes from the intro, but every mechanical explanation depressed me further. Additionally, for a single player game, the drip of new cards is absolutely pathetic. It takes a couple dozen missions to be able to do anything you might reasonably call "deckbuilding", and meaningful synergies are at least 8-10 HOURS in.

In the finer points, the hard control cards are also maddening. At the beginning there aren't that many, although the control for support cards is ubiquitous among the opponents, so playing the expensive ones is largely pointless. After you get to the point of ramp cards, hard unit removal, and lots of haste (no summoning sickness) cards showing up, it starts to feel more and more pointless to try and develop a board. The deckbuilding interface is also trash, with no search function for attributes, so building based on the synergies that exist is an absolute chore, and rebuilding your deck for specific enemy challenges is a pain in the ass. I was immediately turned off by the mechanics of this game, but I felt I had to give it a fair shake before leaving a negative review. The lazy card game mechanics just keep coming. Unless it's hiding 12+ hours in, there is nothing of interest you could find in this game that hasn't been done a thousand times in better ones.

Here are several much, much better games you could go play right now:
Faeria
Solforge Fusion
Runescape Chronicles (there's a fan run free version even since it's dead)
Netrunner (physical, still worth it, and if you want the cyberpunk theme, there's none better)

If you play a lot of this type of game, you will find it utterly unremarkable. A massive quantity of the deckbuilding and class aspects are ripped astonishingly directly from the best example of the genre, Slay the Spire. The structure is Slay the Spire to a T. You have the same map, with the same types of nodes, and the same resources with slightly different names (potions/relics/gold). The difference is that you have, instead of a careful and intentional, tactical turn based structure, it's an odd real time hybrid that typically amounts to just watching autoattacks for seven seconds between turns. It claims autobattler heritage, but the critical elements of an autobattler are all missing: competition and drafting with numerous competitors, the aspect system is pretty basic and not nearly as stackable and fun as most autobattlers, and well, you can completely micromanage the movement and attacks of your units if you want, so it's not really AUTO either.

A perfectly good use of an afternoon, I'll probably put more time into it since the custom hero option is interesting, but honestly every time one of these comes out and just tries to be Slay the Spire again without understanding what made it good, it irks me considerably. And this is one of the most direct. The difficulty at the first tiers is completely nonexistent, and like many of the worse members of the genre, you can make such a broken build by the end of a run that there is functionally no way to lose. Even bosses can be CCed endlessly, shields can be stacked up to the thousands without even running a shield-centric build, damage numbers quickly become absurd. Relics are also far less interesting than StS, each one I've seen so far simply gives you a good effect with no downside or requirement of attention from you, such that after a while I simply stopped even looking at the ones I was acquiring. I could go on, but that is enough.

Genuinely great deckbuilder/miniatures game. F2P harms it not a bit. Great PnP jokes, lots of heart. Give it a shot if you like things that are good.
