What is a Shadow?
A shadow is a dark (real image) area where light from a light source is blocked by an opaque object. Essentially, it's the absence of light, nothing more. Pretty cool huh? But there's more!

In recent times, people have been reporting seeing 'shadow people' during sleep paralysis. This can be linked to shadows being quite an interesting element of horror, either written or visual (e.g. movies). Their eerie nature and the way folklore has portrayed shadows has led them to be a figure of fear.
