However, I am writing to you from Turkey, where the current economic situation and exchange rates make $30 (USD) an incredibly large and significant amount of money for me. As a student living on a very tight budget, this unexpected charge has put me in a very difficult financial position.

To be honest, I cannot afford to have this money tied up as game credits that I might not use for a long time. I desperately need this amount back in my bank account to cover my basic living expenses.

I understand your policy and that a reminder was sent, but I am asking for your compassion as a one-time exception due to my specific regional economic hardship. It was an honest mistake, and receiving a cash refund would be a huge relief for me right now.
