Gave in to the hype and replayed this "quickly" to prepare for Silksong, still busy grinding the Pantheons.
Cheap, fun world to explore, fun bosses to fight, great free DLC's that add tons of replayability

Great sequel, an upgrade of Hollow Knight in many ways. I enjoyed the extra platforming flexibility you get a lot, the art style is gorgeous and I had chills from the soundtrack and scenes more than I expected to.

I think the game is tough from time to time but not hard enough to scare people from trying it, it's just very mean with the runbacks and secret hunting sometimes. But in a way that's also what makes it so satisfying to play. The flexibility you get to progress the story is impressive, though it can be overwhelming as well. Still, an insane amount of content you get for how cheap they priced this

One of my all time favourite games, replayed for the third time now to get it to 100%. Great visuals, great writing (though plot can be a bit predictable). The Arkham combat system is almost perfected, the Batmobile feels a bit shoehorned in sometimes but an all-round fun addition.

After trying and ditching this on release, decided to give this another shot following a Mass Effect trilogy nostalgia run, to understand what happened to my favourite franchise. Using a lot of (mostly QoL) mods I powered through the first 10 hours until I finally started enjoying it a bit.

Story, writing, dialogue and characters are mostly horrible and boring. The main character sounds like a toddler in his 'why'-phase when going through additional dialogue. Most human NPC's look like they were generated by the random button in a RPG character creator. Story flow feels pretty forced, with predictable tropes and a lot of space magic. They took some cues from the ME1 story, but it's hard to take the antagonists seriously after the reapers. The 'pathfinder' was supposed to be the next 'spectre' I assume, but after finishing the game I still fail to see what the point of the pathfinder is beyond a glorified explorer and why every single alien somehow seems to think they're important.

The environments are one of the few well executed things in the game, and luckily there are plenty of mindless fetch quests to enjoy them. A lot of content in the game is just standard open world scan this/go look for that, then you get some random crafting components that you'll never use. Upgrading weapons or armour is a drag, going through countless UI pages, making it worse than the inventory system in ME1. ME3 with upgrading weapons you find had a good sweet spot between ME1's inventory management and ME2's simplified weapons. But Andromeda overcomplicates things with finding recipes, unlocking recipes, crafting ingredients, crafting mods, then repeating most of this stuff just to upgrade equipment.

Combat is okay, very different from the trilogy, more run and gun than the cover based system. I saw some people say it felt like a prototype for their next game Anthem, which seems accurate. Profiles was an interesting idea, but badly executed because one tends to upgrade existing skills in the beginning (at least I did).

I enjoyed the ME3 multiplayer a lot even though it was a grind, but Andromeda takes the lootbox grinding to the next level. It feels designed to goad you into buying the currency packs out of frustration, so not surprised it was dead on arrival.

The game still feels like it was rushed beyond redemption, there are moments that remind of the Mass Effect franchise, making it feel like a decent game is buried in there somewhere, but on the surface it seems like a generic game with Mass Effect in name only. I'm not very hopeful for Mass Effect 5.
Newcomers might enjoy it as an okay Sci-Fi game, but I'd rather recommend playing the ME:LE trilogy and then pretending this never happened

More an experience, similar to Little Nightmares but in Nordic folklore. It has it moments but the gameplay is pretty awkward/boring from time to time; the camera is often annoying (2D in 3D), making movement inaccurate, often causing deaths that don't feel fair (and the no damage achievement is just mean).
Puzzles aren't really puzzles but more a find-the-key objective. Combining that with a story about 4 hours long, which seems short, yet I wasn't unhappy it was over. Soundtrack and graphics are great, the main character looks a bit plain for a main character, but the bosses are interesting designs
In short: not bad but in the same genre there are better games (Little Nightmares/INSIDE), best get this on sale after trying those

One of those unique mind bending puzzle games, based on neat visual tricks with perspectives, combined with a well executed atmosphere and audio design. Even reminded me of Portal from time to time.
The main story isn't very long, but there's plenty of interesting extras (like challenges and developer commentary) to keep you hooked for a while

Third one in the series, third one with the same issues, unfortunately cause there seems some passion behind it and had potential.

Puzzles are usually okay, story and atmosphere is fine for an indie game, even if the ending seemed unfinished. The major problem is frantically hovering my mouse over every part of the screen to see what I can actually interact with. For me puzzle games are supposed to make you feel smart for figuring out a solution, not 'pixel hunting' until you give up and let the 'hint' system spoil you what slightly differently coloured screw you didn't inspect long enough.
Also still using the annoying camera angles, that could use some more polish.
Very similar to the The Room series, but never had these frustrations there. And it seems the next game House of Tesla seems very similar, so I'll skip it

One of my favourite trilogies when it originally released, played many times, so I had to get the remaster at some point.
On sale this is really a steal if you're up for many hours in an immersive sci-fi RPG with a lot of story, choices and fun combat

First game is as clunky as it always was but sets up the story amazingly, hearing Sovereign saying they are beyond comprehension still gives me shivers.
Second game is a major upgrade and will feel more up to modern standards, and the third is the best of both worlds wrapping up a lot of choices you made through the games. I never cared much about the ending drama, for me the final wrap up was good enough for a story this complex after they released the extended cuts.

This was my first time doing a playthrough with (a lot of) QoL and content mods, which improved and added to my experience greatly, so if you're up to it I recommend looking into that as well. Too bad they cut the multiplayer, which was also a great experience, but I can still play the original for that

Very trippy, I'm not that big of a Tetris fan but this was worth checking out just for the visuals and atmosphere, and it even has a VR mode

Simple yet challenging as well, pretty fun game to mindlessly zone out for a while, and makes you appreciate the work of ATC's
