Always online and always a buggy mess, only in this game does my internet drop consistently through campaign missions, causing me to go through the 80 submenus and loading screens just to be able to get back to where I was, or restart the mission because it's a coinflip on if your progress actually saved or not.

You'd think after making the same game for the last 5 years they'd iron out the bugs.

Would recommend, decently fun.

Do be aware that you are paying 40 Dollars for the *promise* that there will be content in the future to make it worth that though.

pretty easy tbh

by all means a pretty good game for what it is, but i can't say its entirely worth 20 dollars.

development stopped mid july 2021, where the last update was a QoL update saying that there will be more updates in the future, none have come out since then, the game is more than likely abandoned, read somewhere that it was marked as feature complete and they have focused efforts on the tabletop game which i can not comment on as i haven't played it.

the novels are really good, i assume the tabletop game is too, this is fine for what it is, it's just sad to see what this could have become if echelon wanted to put more work into it. this isn't as much as a negative review as it is mixed.

Hit detection is dorked, can actually get into the game now but the launcher is really bad, not a fan of the fact that they did a 2042 in that Soldiers aren't unique to the team they are on due to the need for character customization.

i await the day someone makes a VR mod of this

It's like getting rawdogged and getting your intestines shoved up next to your lungs but without the comforting aftercare.
