While this does have some real big flaws, unlike the last DLC this one gave me what I wanted as someone who had already put 900+ hours into 1.5. More of the feeling of playing rain world, not playing the same rain world I had already devoted a large amount of my life into. Get lost, explore, and try to enjoy the journey while getting your face grinded in by bad lizard RNG. There is some real bad level geo in spots, but everything does look quite pretty and there is a bunch of new creatures to carefully scoot around until you find out if they want to murder you. Plenty of people have already commented on the issues so I won't really touch on them, but know that there is something here to find if you want to. I did in fact, enjoy this more then MSC. Expect 15-20 hours if you are exploring.

Enough content here to be a fully finished short indie game with a high enough skill ceiling to keep you around long after you beat it the first time. Took 6 hours of practice to beat the first time, takes about 20 minutes to do a run; but with some practice you will be getting sub 15 quickly enough. No much spooky stuff in the demo yet, but if you want to feel tense the climbing will still give you what you want. Very high hopes for this going forward and it will certainly be a day one buy for me with how active the devs have been.
